Writing:

Wrote newsletters on wikispaces; Wrote for the local newspaper; Learned

how to write a grant during my practicum at Byron Public Library and wrote

annotations during my master's program.

Accomplishments:

Eight years of working at the library and learning its patrons and their

reading habits; Appointed Children's Librarian; Developed and ran the

Summer Reading Program for eight years; Wrote newspaper articles about the

summer programs and other children's interests; Served as Head Librarian

two years ago during the time between librarians; Served recently as

acting director.(From April until October); Passed the computer skills

test required by the board; Managed the staff while serving as acting

director; Suggested book purchases; Planned and implemented story hours,

lapsits and school age programs; Taught first grade; Coached Basketball;

Directed a Spring basketball camp;

Books & Materials:

Did most of the cataloging of materials (using Follet software); Maintained

a list of suggestions for the youth categories of books; Input AR

information into the computer for the local schools; Repaired damaged and

aged books; Designed covers for books that need them; Printed spine labels

for books that need them; Printed barcodes for materials; Processed

materials and books to go out to patrons.
