Curriculum Coordinator 2006-Present
The Goddard School, Farragut, TN
Summary of Responsibilities: Aside from utilizing my previous
experience and education to play a key role in executing a timely
opening of a new childcare center in compliance with state and
corporate standards, my duties were extended to include
developmentally appropriate practices in accordance with
corporate and state expectations of curriculum implementation
along with assisting with the overall management of the Goddard
School's daily operations.
Assist in the management of human resources in compliance with
state and corporate requirements including: Conducting
interviews, employee termination, facilitating trainings,
conducting new employee orientation, performance evaluations, and
assist with maintaining personnel files
Successfully maintain compliance with corporate requirements for
developmentally appropriate practices relative to curriculum and
implementation including: weekly reviews of daily charts, lesson
plans, student portfolios, classroom management, bulletin boards
and employee classroom performance
Create the following: an annual curriculum calendar to be
followed and implemented by teachers, the monthly internet
calendar of events, monthly slideshow presented in foyer each day
Plan, coordinate and execute seven events within a 12 month
period for students and their families not limited to annual
"Fall Festivals", "Mother's Day Teas", "Doughnuts with Dad" and
the annual "Pre-K Graduation"

Summary of Responsibilities: Not only was I working as The
Curriculum Coordinator, I also played a key role as Pre-K lead,
providing a safe, nurturing, fun and educational environment for
four and five year olds.
Created a team oriented environment along side an assistant

Created and implemented theme related lesson plans to meet all
standards and guidelines as required by The Goddard School
Corporation, Tennessee State Childcare Licensing and the
Tennessee STARS Program
Created a weekly/monthly theme based curriculum while
implementing The Flex Learning principles. Incorporated Spanish,
yoga, sign language, handwriting without tears, Building Language
for Literacy, Goddard's Guide to Getting Along, BASE Fitness, and
Rockin' Rhythms into each week's lessons

Playball of Knoxville, Farragut, TN
Summary of Responsibilities: Was the Franchise owner of an
occupational therapy based sports program for children 2-7 years
of age. This included marketing, coaching, and bookkeeping.
Established and maintained working relationships with two local
YMCA branches and two local preschools through implementation of
the motor skills program
Managed and maintained books based on monthly profit, child
attendance, insurance and marketing
Marketed throughout Knoxville attending children's community
functions, creating fliers and bi-weekly newsletters, conducted

Summary of Responsibilities: Starting off as a lead teacher for
children two to school aged children; I was quickly promoted to
Director of Curriculum in 2003 where I was transferred within the
organization to two other area locations.
Maintained corporate and state standards in ensuring daily
quality care for up to 300 students including: proper curriculum
implementation, addressing and solving parent and/or employee
concerns
Human Resource leader included the management of 50-72 teachers:
interviewing, hiring, terminating, training, employee reviews and
filing any unemployment/medical claims and maintaining personnel
files.
Responsible for training new employees quarterly at five area
locations which included: health and safety standards, corporate
standards, classroom management and developmentally appropriate
curriculum
Public Relations and events planning included developing and
implementing marketing strategies, recruitment of inquiring
families, events planning, annual open houses, launching a Parent
Booster Club, and creation of a bi-monthly newsletter
