Description of Project:

The goal of the Requirements Engineering Initiative is to save rework

due to poor quality requirements. The Requirements Analysis Tool tries to

achieve this objective by focusing on two requirements documentation

issues: 1) clarity and 2) completeness. RAT enforces restrictions on both

sentence structure and vocabulary in a way that is carefully chosen to

align with expert requirements guidance. This makes it feasible to

translate the natural language text into structured representations and to

provide a variety of syntactic and semantic analysis.

Responsibilities:

Attend the Requirements Discussion Meetings.

Reviewing the UI for the tool.

Create test plan and test cases

Execute test cases

Document test results

Send QA approval/rejection

Interact with developers on the code

Description of Project:

Insight is an Accenture delivered Management Information System (Insight)

for the Investment Banking Equities Front-Office Business Management Team.

The application was first delivered in Dec 2005. Insight facilitates the

automation of a revenue capturing process, providing better quality data,

data integrity and reporting facilities for senior executives of the bank,

allowing them to analyze revenue across many categories, including clients,

sales teams and trading books.

Insight also replaces a manual spreadsheet based trade authorization

process with a web-based process with full audit history.

Insight uses an Oracle Database, Informatica ETL layer, WebSphere web-

application and a Business Objects reporting suite

Responsibilities:

Involved in automating several test scenarios of the application, using QTP

9.2, which involves

Web front-end, ETL-Informatica, Database SQL/Stored Procedures

Involved in manual testing of Web front-end, ETL-Informatica, Database

SQL/Stored Procedures

and BO Reports

Writing test scripts to check the functionality of the application using

QTP.

Description of Project:

Data Management group in Providian is responsible for all the data

extractions from the various sources like Total Access, Tsys . The DM group

is also responsible for maintaining both the daily transactions in OIS

database which is an OLTP and also the history in the Data warehouse called

EDW.

DM team is also actively involved in the data transformations, mapping and

data preparations according to the Business Requirements, using

technologies like Oracle, Informatica, UNIX Shell Scripting and PL/SQL.

This project involves the entire SDLC lifecycle from LOE, Analysis, Design,

Development, A,and release into Production and also the ongoing Production

Support. DM team also includes the DBA team which supports all the Database

Administration needs of the four verticals within Providian i.e. : - Risk,

CBA, S&A and DM.
