EXPERIENCE

August 2007 to Present, Twinbrook Assisted Living (weekends only)

Resident Caregiver to approximately 60 residents in an independent

environment. Responsibilities include answering phones, answering

questions by phone or in person, greeting/directing visitors/families,

assisting residents to dining room, delivering/picking up trays to

residents who have requested them, interacting with residents, calling

BINGO, being helpful and cheerful at all times, assisting in dressing to

those who have requested, administer med reminders, always being alert

to any alarms pulled for emergency help to residents, document incident

reports and notify family when there has been a fall/accident, call EMS

when necessary, and always showing compassion to residents at all

times.

October 2009 to November 2009, Healthcare Therapy Services, Inc.

Office Manager/Staffing Coordinator assisting the Regional Director

in scheduling therapists at the seven facilities located

throughout the Louisville area while providing the highest quality of

service to all clients. Responsibilities besides timely scheduling

were greeting the public, answering the phone in a timely manner,

Life Enrichment Manager working in the Reminiscence area of community.

Twenty nine residents afflicted with Alzheimer's/dementia. I work

one-on-one with each resident according to his/her needs/abilities,

assist with activities, interact with each resident, serve lunch and

dinner including snacks during the day, and above all listening to

each one and communicating at their own level of understanding. My

main role is to involve each resident, draw them out into a social

setting, and acclimate them to people and hands-on activities.

September 2008 to December 2008, Business First

Receptionist for local weekly business newspaper. Answer multi-line

phone system, direct incoming calls, use paging system, take messages,

greet and direct visitors/vendors, sign for deliveries, process

outgoing mail and log in spreadsheet, special mailings, assist other

departments where needed.
