Teaching Assistant
As a teaching assistant at UMD, I taught laboratory sections of
Introductory Geology, Introductory Environmental Science, and
Geomorphology. I assisted professors with classroom responsibilities,
grading, tutoring, and student management.
Research Experience: Master's thesis- High resolution geochemical XRF
data from Elk Lake, Minnesota: A Holocene paleoclimate record from varved
lacustrine sediments. Research involved the use of X-ray Fluorescence
analysis, geophysical field/interpretive methods, and lacustrine sediment
coring.

I maintained the function and aesthetic of DNR properties in Bayfield
County including lakes, beaches, forests and roads. While on site, I
represented the DNR to the public and other agencies, conducted GPS mapping
of DNR properties, operated necessary tools and equipment including
chainsaws, ATVs, state vehicles, hand tools, hand held radios, with
training/certification in the use of ATVs, chainsaws, and CPR.

etc. of a region, formation, or lake in question.

and backgrounds on complex geological processes.
