My name is David Berg and I have worked in production and manufacturing for over

** *****. ****** ***** ***** I’ve operated almost every type of material handling

equipment there is from overhead cranes to electric and gas forklifts to pallet jacks to

two wheelers. I have run shipping/receiving, loaded and unloaded trucks, maintained

inventory, and stocked shelves.

I’ve installed, set-up, operated and repaired equipment including punch presses,

spot welders, four-slides, straighteners, inserters, Videojet labelers, Cheshire labelers,

mechanical labelers, tabbers, copiers, binders, stackers, folders, counters, conveyors,

boxmakers, pipe threaders, saws, and shears of all types. My installs have included

hydraulic, air, coolant, and plumbing. I am not an electrician.

In facilities maintenance I’ve operated and repaired floor scrubbers, buffers, minor

HVAC ( oil, grease, filters, and belts ), plumbing, floors, drywall, concrete, and painted

including aisles and parking lots. I also have installed landscaping and maintained

grounds.

I have a number of interests and am not afraid to tackle a new assignment. If hired I

Recruited for 6 months to layout factory, transport 90 truckloads of

inventory and equipment, install machinery, hire and train crew. Was

able to achieve operating ability in 3 weeks and achieve full capacity in

4 months. At the end of my contract I was offered the job of

Manufacturing Engineer but chose not to accept.

Hired to start up a new product line for the Thermos Co. to make

burners for their gas grills. Installed machinery, hired and trained crew,

oversaw production and quality control, and established shifts to

enable us to run 24-7. Convinced Thermos to switch from 304ss to

401ss which resulted in cost savings of. Redesigned company

packaging, purchased new parts washer, brought Vibe-Cleaning in

house, purchased 1st robotic welder in Winn Co, designed work

envelope for use with Chrysler products, troubleshooted Honda

prototypes, designed fixturing for Honda products, and laid out and

painted aisles for entire plant to enable us to qualify for ISO2000.

Set and maintained equipment to process newspapers including

stackers, counters, inserters, tyers, labelers, folders, and conveyors.
