Professional
Experience Sep 2008- Nov 2008 City of Fremont Parks &
Recreation Department
Intern (40 hr/wk)
The experience that I was able to obtain via working for
the City of Fremont is invaluable. I witnessed business
meetings, brainstorming techniques, a wide variety of
personalities, and the office dynamic that comes with
working in a cubicle. Throughout this, and through my
own mistakes, I learned the significance of fresh
creativity, networking, direction-taking skills, knowing
your target population, and confidence.
Sep 2007- Current Pasta
Pomodoro San Jose, CA
Server (20 hr/wk)
Hired on as a Hostess, I was able to get a feel for the
flow of the restaurant. By mid-November, I was a
Server. I was introduced to a much quicker-paced
restaurant with vastly diverse clientele. Location and
high volume called for higher expectations and thinking
on my toes.
Mar 2006- Nov 2007 Strizzi's
Restaurant Fremont, CA
Server (25 hr/wk)
I worked at a family-owned Italian restaurant, doing my
best to see that the guests' experience was the best it
could be through smooth operations and communication
between all members of the staff. I helped out wherever
needed and continuously worked with the 'teamwork' ethic
in mind.
Interests Summer 2004 Costa Rica
and CRROBS
activities Costa Rica Rainforest Outward Bound School was a
three-week study abroad course on Eco-tourism offered at
San Jose State University. This involved intense
physical demands, survival and leadership skills, and
