The Shelby Kennedy Foundation is a new ministry that began as only a concept. As the third

employee hired, after the Executive Director and the Executive Assistant, I played a key role in

the development of what the National Bible Bee would look like and how it would be

implemented. My job responsibilities covered a broad spectrum given our very small staff and

the many tasks that needed to be completed, from brainstorming ideas to the realization of the

first National Bible Bee held in Washington D.C. in November, 2009.

Senior Event Planner / Senior Customer Service Representative

Assisted in the writing and content of the Local Bible Bee Procedure Manual

Assisted in the writing and content of the Bee-liever’s Handbook and Study Guide

Input and recommendations regarding the ‘user-friendly’ properties of the new website

Input and recommendations regarding the Bible Bee logo and tag-line

Qualify constituents as Chairmen for local Bible Bees (340 locations)

Provide qualifying Chairmen all the information necessary to hold a local Bible Bee

Management of the website Google map in posting all necessary information for each

registered Local Bible Bee

Updating Local Bible Bee count and Registered Contestant count on the website

Consistent communication between Bible Bee Headquarters and each local Bible Bee

Chairman, providing updates, clarifications, corrections, and changes as needed

Assisted in the response to FAQ’s and Forum questions on the website

Phones / Continuous Customer Care (both local chairmen and contestants)

Email Correspondence; responsible for all replies to inquiries sent to the ‘info’ address

Written Correspondence and Mailings

Database Management

Identify and track the receipt of all documents requiring signature in agreement to terms

Follow up with each local committee ensuring that appropriate documentation has been

received

Coordination of volunteers for special projects

Arrange for and supervise temporary staff as needed

On-site national contest registration coordination and management, from the check in

process through the receipt of all necessary information and documentation identifying

each contestant as a qualifying finalist

and the Radio Department, ensuring that the needs of each event, host, radio station, and

listener have been met.

Broadcast Representative 6/2007 – 4/2008

Respond to emails, phone calls, and letters from listeners.

Assist listeners / radio stations with special requests for program broadcast.

Oversee replication of CD radio program.

Frequent communication with replicator.

Administrate mass mailing of broadcast CDs to Christian radio stations worldwide.

moment’s notice to the customer, as needed.
