Islands. Container performance improved increasing shelf life of perishable commodities across the entire Caribbean.
•Completion and implementation of several Continuous Quality Improvement Projects including the redesign of
produce warehouse resulting in improved shelf life of product and increased fulfillment efficiencies.
•Introduced new "iceless" product lines which dramatically reduced the water in the produce cooler. Warehouse safety
and customer satisfaction both improved as a result.

adherence to product specification standards for product received at, maintained in, and shipped from the produce
warehouses.
•Maintain constant communication with corporate buyers in Lakeland, Fl., Warehouse Supervision, and Produce
Technical Coordinator. Determine with the buyers, or category manager, whether product being received should be
rejected or USDA inspected.
•Train Warehouse Receivers and Supervisors in Publix Produce Quality Standards including HAACP and Food Safety
Standards.
•Active in the Company's Continuous Quality Improvement program. Ensure product recalls are properly handled.
•Developed Receiving Procedures and Standards. As a result of this training and education initiative developed for the
produce receivers, in 2005 nearly $3 million of substandard produce was prevented from reaching Publix’s inventory
by the Jacksonville receiving team.
