My objective is an Operations Management position with a growth-

QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Associate of Applied
Science Degree in Operations and Production Management, Associates Degree
in Business Management.
* I have 15 years Manufacturing and Production Management experience in
the roles of Operations Manager, Production Manager, Plant Manager or
General Manager.
* As Operations Manager for AFG I had complete autonomy and
responsibility for the safe and profitable operation of a manufacturing
facility staffed with over 100 salaried and hourly employees. My
responsibilities include all P&L responsibility, customer service
personnel, inside and outside sales, all office functions, staffing and
employee development, setting and meeting all budgeting functions, all
purchasing functions, Inventory Control and Management, timely and accurate
corporate reporting, all manufacturing/production responsibilities and an
in sate and interstate delivery fleet of 29 Tractor/trailers.
* Currently General Manager for an ASME Certified OEM manufacturing
plant. MESSCO fabricates and manufactures production equipment for the Oil
and Gas industry, including mid stream gathering Dehydration units, gas
gathering equipment, gas separators, and environmental VOC destruction
units for the Oil and Gas Industry, they manufacture as well as provide
maintenance, installation and repair of its products. MESSCO is a medium
sized manufacturing facility with sales of 20 to 50 million dollars a year
that employs up to 100 hourly and salaried employees. MESSCO is in the
process of occupying their new building and plans to double in size and
sales in 2011. I am accountable for all P&L responsibilities, AP and AR,
manufacturing, the facility and equipment, sales and the growth of sales,
all budgeting and forecasting duties, staffing and employee development,
and all associated duties for the safe and profitable operation of the of
the business.
* I have been a Member of APICS for 12 years, Salt Lake Chapter. APICS
trained in Inventory and Production Management as CPIM.
* Certified Six Sigma Black Belt from Brigham Young University and
certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt from Salt Lake Community College. Trained
in Lean Manufacturing and Value Steam Mapping, Toyota Production System
(TPS), GMP, and SAP
* I use my Lean Manufacturing and Value Stream Management experience to
increase efficiencies, eliminate all types of waste in production, maximize
capacities, decrease costs, improve processes, eliminate product defects,
improve the manufacturing procedures, and elevate, empower, and motivate a
winning focused team.
* My production goals and performance measurement for my all of my
production facilities have always been Safety, Quality, 100% On Time and
Cost of Manufacturing. Safety has always been my number one priority and my
most prized achievements.
* Experienced with most MRP and ERP systems, Zero Inventory, JIT, Theory
of Constraints, Bottleneck Management and Flow Management.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
* Documented record of success and achievement in Safety, Quality, On-
Time and, Cost of Manufacturing. Successful driver/facilitator of Change
Management
* Initiated/managed an inventory reduction/JIT program that resulted in
a 25% reduction in 2001, and another 25% in 2002. This resulted in a $1.65
million savings of operating capital each of those years, reducing
inventory from $2.65 million to $1.72 million.
* Once we developed a focused unified team that embraced "change"; our
branch won Most Improved Safety Branch of the Year and Most Cost Savings
Branch of the Year in 2001. In 2003 our branch was awarded "Branch of the
Year", and "Safety Branch of the Year", out of 27 other branches in the
U.S.
* Because of my training and successes in Lean Manufacturing and 6
Sigma projects I was asked to lead and "chair" the Scrap Reduction efforts
for our corporation resulting in a reduction in scrap costs of $488,000
dollars in 2006.
* I recorded four Kaizen events with the ASQ (American Society for
Quality) in 2006 that resulted total of $206,000 in
manufacturing/production cost savings for our facility.
* Experienced with ISO requirements, procedures, audits and
certification. I have developed and written production procedures, written
Quality Manuals, established guidelines, and trained personnel for ISO
9000/9001 implementation.
* I believe and practice change management. I am trained in Statistical
Quality Control, Statistical Process Control and most Lean Manufacturing
disciplines, 6 Sigma, 8D, 5S, TQM, Cellular Manufacturing, and APICS
training in Production and Inventory Control.
* Very Computer literate excellent use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
Experienced in using RF and bar code product tracking and most
manufacturing operating systems such as; Oracle, AS400 (JD Edwards and
BPICS), Primavera, and MRP and ERP systems.
