I sold granite & marble slabs to fabricators who designed
and fabricated kitchen & bathroom counter tops as well as
fireplace and tile flooring. I also sold the tools and
supplies fabricators used. We had a van that I drove up and
down the East Coast of North & South Carolina calling on
fabricators. I was also responsible for product purchases,
inventory and managing various aspects of the operation.

Sales Manager
Ad sales & marketing Mgr. BM was a start-up magazine and I
played a large roll in the developing and designing of all
marketing tools. I was responsible for sales for half the
US & Canada. We sold 305 ad pages our first year and I had
167 the other two salesman sold the rest. I've been the
leading yearly producer since day one. I called on the
vendors of equipment & ingredients and services who sold
their products to the large commercial bakers, such as
Nabisco, Pillsbury, Krispy-Kreme, Wonder bread, Keebler and
Tastykake.
Bakery-Net.com was our e-commerce web site company that is
dedicated to the baking industry. I sold various programs
and web sites to my customers. They included web site
design, service & maintenance and marketing ideas of these
sites. I developed our media kit, set-up the editorial
direction & focus, designed research and sales tools plus
various marketing data.

Achievements: In my first month I sold over $30,000 of billboard space.
I was told by company officials that it was the first time
in their company's history a new salesman sold any amount
in their first month. They said it takes at least 3 months
to learn the industry, billboard design & production before
bringing in any business.
2/88-2/96 Do-It-Yourself Retailing magazine-Indianapolis Ind.
Eastern Regional Manager. Ad sales covering the east coast
region. I sold and consulted with companies about their
advertising & marketing plans. I called on companies like
Black & Decker, Stanley Tools, Georgia Pacific, True
Temper, Skil, Hitachi and many others who sell their
products to stores like Home Depot, Lowe's & 84 Lumber.

Backyard America TV show hosted by Pat Simpson of Before &
After. This was a national TV program out of Griffin
Georgia. I sold TV ads for two years. I sold the largest TV
package to Ryobi for $250,000. I was the leading producer
that year.

Regional Sales Manager selling advertising covering the
entire east coast. My customers were equipment & ingredient
vendors who sell their products to the entire (retail &
wholesale) baking industry.

Selling advertising to companies that make equipment and
plastic resin for plastic processing plants who make the
plastic parts we all use every day. Companies like DuPont,

Associate Publisher/Sales Director for the leading magazine
in the sporting goods publishing industry. I was
responsible for all aspects of running a trade magazine
