Construction Manager and Field Engineer with over fifteen years experience

managing, planning, supervising, constructing, scheduling, testing, inspecting,

maintaining, procedure and specification writing, procurement, safety, and

expediting complex industrial projects; including projects in the steel, power,

and chemical industries in national and international locations. Projects ranged

up to $250 million in new and existing facilities.

Relevant Work Experience :

Oxford Solutions, Construction Coordinator. Represented Monongahela Power

Inc. Company and Allegheny Energy at Fort Martin Power Station in

Bridgeville, PA Maidsville, WV. Was part of the team responsible for the

installation and start up of the Flue Gas Desulphurization

Project ($250 million). This required construction management

of the general contractors (URS / B&W and their subcontractors)

as they fabricated, purchased, and installed the 2 Absorbers, 5

buildings, 3 transformers, tanks, silos, chimney, ducts,

conveyors, barge crane, caissons, foundations and associated

equipment. Also wrote daily reports and punch lists. Attended

daily, weekly, staff, and monthly construction meetings.

Participated in safety walk thru and enforced Allegheny Energy

safety program. Completed 30 hour OSHA.

AllTek Staffing Construction Manager. Represented Orbital Engineering at

and Resource Eastman Chemical Company's Jefferson Site in West Elizabeth,

Group, Inc. PA. Was responsible for the installation and start up of the

Pittsburgh, PA Natural Gas Line Replacement Project ($215,000). This required

construction management of the piping contractor's pipe

fitters, to install ~1,000' of 4" carbon steel pipe. Also

preformed pressure tests, scheduled fire watches, pit power

wash and dewatering, deliveries, painting, verifying pipe

installations in accordance with drawing and specifications,

scheduled outages, and made the tie in.

Also was responsible for the installation of Sanyo No. 2

Control Room Project ($223,000). This required construction

management of the civil contractor's laborers to install the

modular building. Also wrote open flame permits, scheduled

fire watches, wrote daily reports, inspected work, and

documented damaged equipment and started the claims process.

Also wrote scope of works, preliminary estimates, schedules,

and sketches.

Construction Manager. Represented Orbital Engineering, Inc.

and responsible for the installation and start-up of the SO

Gas Conditioning Project at Duke Energy's Beckjord Station in

New Richmond, OH. This required construction management of the

mechanical, civil, electrical, insulation, scaffold, rigging

contractors, and equipment vendor, for the installation of over

6,000' of " with 2 " steam jacket, 1", and ", carbon steel

pipe, and 6", 4", 3", 1 ", and 1" stainless steel pipe, hangers

and supports, 5 Sulfur Pumps, 80 ton tank relocation and

draining, 3 steam pressure reducing stations, 2 desuperheater

stations, Sulfur Tank foundation and containment system, 2

Sulfur Furnaces with catalytic converters, and 600 lb / hr

auxiliary boiler.

Integrated Construction Manager. Represented Veolia Water - NA Water

Technical Systems as their construction manager for the Coal Yard Storm

Solutions Water Run-Off Treatment Project, USS Clairton Works at

Allison Park, PA Clairton, PA. Responsible for managing the brown field

construction and installation of the 500 gpm Actiflo Water

Treatment Plant. This required managing the contractor and 14

subcontractors in the day to day activities of earth removal

(~4,100Y 17ft deep), slag backfill (5,486 tons in compacted

lifts with 95% density), formed rebar and poured 4,000 psi

concrete (247Y ) for building and 3 tank foundations, erected

pre-engineered steel building, installed piping, conduit and

cable runs, equipment setting, and assisted with commissioning

and start-up. Also wrote daily, weekly, monthly, and manpower

reports. Documented project completion with photos and logs.

Attended Safety Orientation meeting, annual Safety Orientation

Conference, and Held safety meetings (US Steel Clairton Plant

Contractor Line-up Review Meeting) with new workers / visitors.

Attended weekly construction and safety walk thru meetings.

Advanced Project Superintendent, responsible for managing the roof

Weatherproofing insulation of Tremco products. Verified subcontractor

Consultants performed the work in accordance with the specification,

Washington, PA technical manuals, and safety program. Documented the work

with photographs and daily reports. Calculated job completion

percentage. Held weekly progress meetings. Roofs ranged from

32 Sq to over 400 Sq on government buildings in 7 states using

hot asphalt, cold applied, TPA, polyurea, and EPDM. Also

replaced HVAC Units and repointed MBU mortar joints.

Randers Construction Manager, No. 3 ore dock restoration project,

Engineering National Steel Corporation Great Lakes Operations (GLO) at

Incorporated Detroit, MI (Zug Island). Responsible for managing the timber

Novi, MI pile removal, dredging operations, ore pellet reclaim, sinkhole

backfill, underground conduit, and obtained permit from Army

Corps of Engineers for dock reconstruction.

Construction Manager, 2 LRF emission control system project

(4.5 M+), Rouge Steel Company, Dearborn, MI. Responsible for

the procurement and installation of the Wheelabrator Baghouse.

This included coordinating the contractors and subcontractors

in the performance of the work according to the schedule and to

the operating hot mill, review of specifications, conducted bid

meetings, evaluated contractors' bid, reviewed contractor's

schedule, obtained contractor's daily reports, assisted

contractors with RSC hot work permits, gate passes, drawing

interpretations, contract clarifications, verified contractor's

implementation of RSC Safety Department requirements, reviewed

manpower estimates, expedited equipment deliveries, inspected

work, wrote up deficiencies, and wrote construction reports.
