EXPERIENCE: Life Skills Trainer - Lutheran Services Florida (6/2009 to
present):
Provide classroom training and curriculum design for adult
students who are eligible for the Ryan White Title II
Program/Benefits. These classes are to help the student
with "life skills", i.e., employability, communication
skills, money management, motivation, etc.
Community Services Supervisor - Council on Aging of West
Florida, Inc. (8/2007 to 4/2008):
Responsible for the overall administration and operation of
Meals-on-Wheels and sixteen Congregate Meal Sites for
Senior Citizens in the greater Pensacola area. This
includes hiring, coaching, evaluating and terminating
employees, as necessary. Approximately twenty direct
reports (Meal Site Managers and Meals-on-Wheels drivers).
Required certification as a Case Manager in the State of
Florida, by the Division of Elder Affairs, for Case
Management and meal site assessment responsibilities. Also
responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of a fleet of
company vans.
DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL PROJECTS/NETWORK COORDINATOR - UNITED
WAY OF SANTA ROSA COUNTY (12/2004 to 8/2007):
Assist the Executive Director with special projects, communications
and marketing duties, as assigned. Has been proactive in
the development of a countywide database identifying needs
and priorities in disaster response, client assessments,
volunteer intake and agency information.

Reported to the Senior Vice President of Operations. TPA
responsibilities for Long Term Care/Medicare Supplement
insurance, including: customer service, policyholder
service, claims, underwriting, policy issue and agents
services. Helped SVP of Operations develop and coordinate
certain standard operating procedures and training material
for the organization. Carried out other important projects
as assigned by the Senior Vice President of Operations.
Also, was Safety Coordinator for the Pensacola facility
(fire prevention; hurricane evacuation; etc.).
AMERICAN PIONEER LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY - REGIONAL DIRECTOR
OF SALES AND CONSERVATION:
Responsible for projects as assigned by the Marketing Vice
President, including saving business in danger of lapse and
additional sales. Primary focus of this position was the
administration and enhancement of the conservation program.
BANKERS LIFE AND CASUALTY COMPANY
(8/73 to 9/96; 6/97 to 7/98):
MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS/COPYWRITER: Responsible for the
drafting, editing, approval routing, printing and release
of various Marketing Division materials. This included
brochures, sales manuals, forms, procedure manuals, and
memos to the field, sales promotion items, product
implementation pieces and scripts for audio and visual
productions.
Designed and wrote the "Manager's Manual", "Agent
Information and Procedures Manual" and "Field Office
Procedure Manual" used by Bankers Life and Casualty Company
personnel. Wrote and designed the "Product Sales Kit" for
the Medicare Supplement and for the Long Term Care sales
presentations used by Bankers Life and Casualty Company
agents. Designed and had approved numerous forms used by
Bankers Life and Casualty Company home office and field
office personnel.
BRANCH OFFICE AGENCY MANAGER/RECRUITER & CLASSROOM/FIELD
TRAINER:
Recruited, trained and supervised the sales and
administrative staff for the Branch Sales Office. This
included the ability to deal with all aspects of customer
service as well as financial and supervisory matters.
Certified by the State of Illinois as a Continuing
Education Instructor.
CORPORATE CLASSROOM TRAINING INSTRUCTOR:
Provided both field and classroom training to home office
and field personnel on various subjects, including time
management, product training, recruiting techniques,
revised forms/procedures, etc. Was also an official
Financial Needs Analysis instructor responsible for three
sales regions (forty sales offices).
SALES/SALES MANAGEMENT:
Excellent record as an agent and sales manager. Qualified
for National Sales Convention, National Sales Achievement
Award and Health Insurance Quality Award. Promoted to
Corporate Training.

Helped develop and implement Life and Annuity products to
the sales force. Was on committee that developed and
released the first Universal Life product sold by Bankers
Life and Casualty Company. Was the secretary for the "Life
Product Committee" and the "Annuity Product Sub-Group".

Sold Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois products with
K & B Financial, Inc., General Agent for Blue Cross Blue
Shield of Illinois. Focus on Medicare Supplements, LTC and
Annuities.
EDUCATION: Earned Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of
Wisconsin, River Falls, May 2002. Graduated in top ten
percent of class with a grade point average of over 3.50 on
a 4.00 scale.
Was inducted into Gamma Theta Upsilon, International Geographic
Honors Society, April 2002, based on academic excellence.
Numerous insurance industry courses, training and seminars.
PERSONAL: Grew up in Park Ridge, Illinois. Graduated from Maine South
High School. Lived in McHenry County, Illinois for twenty-
two years. Moved to Pace, Florida in 1998. Married over
thirty years. We have one daughter. Moved to Wisconsin to
finish college degree in 2000. Moved to Milton, Florida in
2003.
Was on Church Board of Grace Evangelical Free Church in Wonder Lake,
Illinois, for over five years.
I enjoy hiking, bike riding, Bible study and nature.
