1998
Plant Engineer (2/93 - 9/98) - Provided engineering and technical support
to manufacturing with emphasis on driving improvements in plant processing,
quality, safety, cost, productivity objectives. Responsibilities included:
. Identified and implemented manufacturing improvements with emphasis on
process engineering.
. Managed maintenance team and executed equipment preventive
maintenance.
. Provided support and launched new products and engineering changes.
. Monitored and analyzed manufacturing data.
. Developed and executed the capital budget.
Key Accomplishments:
. Successfully launched the first vinyl window manufacturing line for
Owens Corning which was 100% Fiberglass window manufacturing to that
point
. Implemented the fist preventive maintenance program and managed the
maintenance team resulting in reduced production downtime.
. Improved Fiberglass window manufacturing productivity by 50% through
Lean and Continuous Improvements.
. Launched two new window platforms, the Luminess 300 and Procision 200.
