Took over the Computer Technician/Network Administrator
after the former left the company. As the Novell Network
administrator, supported the growth of the computer network
from 20 desktops to 65 desktops in the Warsaw, NC site.
Migrated the Novell Network from version 2.2 to 3.12.
Migrated the desktops from Dos to Windows 95. Migrated the
software packages from Lotus 123 and Word Perfect to
Microsoft Office. Completed the installation of the campus
fiber network from 2 buildings to 5 buildings.
Incorporated Microsoft Mail as the company email covering 2
sites in North Carolina, 1 in Virginia, and 1 in Utah.
Worked with the IT director to incorporate tying in the
other sites to the AS400 in Warsaw. Supported all computer
communications between the different sites. Provided all
computer support for the Warsaw, NC and Laurinburg, NC
sites. Provided all the startup computer support for the
Laurinburg, NC site from 10 computers and a Novell server
at one site to over 30 computers at 2 locations in
Laurinburg. Performed all maintenance, backup services,
security services, and was primary operator of the AS400 in
Warsaw.
