Responsible for all HR initiatives for a unionized gypsum manufacturing
facility including employee relations, training, performance evaluation,
coaching, corrective actions, workers compensation and leave of absence
(FMLA) administration. Used Vurv to manage recruiting efforts. Inputed
time and attendance using KRONOS. Advised leadership and employees in
administering the collective bargaining agreement. Collaborated with the
labor union in advancing the organization, responded to grievances, and
prepared for arbitrations. Partnered with management teams in
restructuring the interview and hiring process to a behavioral based SBO
approach. Key contributor in safety initiatives, training, investigations,
recognition programs, and generating corrective actions. Created,
maintained utilized the annual Affirmative Action Plan for the plant.
