PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
Over fifteen years experience in the computer field working with PC
hardware beginning with the IBM PC/XT and progressing to current day
hardware. Repair and installation of components, upgrades of hardware,
software and peripherals. Also included in my experience is many years of
customer service, support and experience as a Microsoft Windows LAN
Administrator to the Windows Server 2003 level. I am very mechanically
minded and enjoy the challenging aspects of repair work, building projects,
in other words, the Home Handyman. I do not accept defeat well and will
work on a project until completion.
EXPERIENCE

37854 - Self employed Home Handyman, minor household repairs, appliance
repairs, renovations and remodeling. Beginning a long-term project to
remodel, repair older motorhomes to resell. People still want to retire
and travel, but cannot afford the cost of a new vehicle.
4/2008 - 11/2008: Professional Automated Resources, Inc. (PAR-I), P.O. Box
30846, Knoxville, TN 37930 Maintain customers IT hardware and software to
insure maximum up time. Document systems and configuration. Provide a
high level of customer service.
12/2006 - 5/2007: Paradigm Solutions International, 3900 Industrial Park
Drive, Ste. 9, Altoona, PA 16602 Maintain in-house and customer
computers in a break/fix environment. Provides telephone / on-site support
to customers, independently troubleshooting technical problems by analyzing
the problems and applying acquired knowledge to resolve the problem
promptly and cost-effectively. Documented Customers computers, servers,
software, recommended changes and updates as needed to insure maximum "up"
time.

Installed, configured and maintained 25 node network, hardware, software in
a multi-platform environment including MAC, Windows XP and Windows 2003
servers. Configured backup and anti-virus software to safeguard computers
and data. Researched and recommended changes to improve system, network
configurations and implemented new technology. Provided ongoing support to
exercises, product demonstrations, hardware/software demonstrations and
assistance to the system users and designers. Attended trained in the
installation, maintenance of the VoIP system.
4/2005 - 7/2005 and 9/2002 - 5/2004: Sonix, Incorporated, 8700 Morrisette

Assembled Scanning Acoustic Microscope (SAM) systems, these devices
generate sounds waves through water to make defects in the item being
"scanned" appear visible on a computer monitor. Many have been purchased
and are used by microchip manufacturers for non-destructive testing.
Created documentation and suggest changes to make the manufacturing process
more efficient.

Facilitated all aspects of the move for the customer for a United and
Mayflower moving company. Also maintained 30 computers, one server and all
connectivity in a systems administrator capacity.
9/1998 - 11/2000: National Institutes of Health, 9000 Rockville Pike,

Responsibilities included network administration of a 500 node local area
network of 15 server, 10 switches and desktops of 400 users. Windows NT
4.0 administration, WEB Server Administration, Exchange 5.5 Server
Administration and all aspects of desktop support. Migrated users from
Novell 4.0 to Windows NT client accounts and from Windows 95 to Windows NT
desktop operating systems.

Performed hardware maintenance on PC's and Servers for network systems
installation in the Windows NT environment. Responsibilities included
support of 1600 user Client/Server networks. Assigned to rotating Help

Completed service calls on all aspects of computer hardware, peripherals,
printer and fax machines. Assigned duties as Shop Supervisor, responsible
for assigning work to five full time employees and up to 20 temporary

completed by the technicians.
