academic background and extensive work experience at different capacities
in the field of design and project management of mechanical parts, plastic
parts, injection molds, die casting molds, DFM (Design for
Manufacturability) for plastic parts, mechanical systems and hydraulic
systems right from concept to commissioning. My academic studies and
practical experience are relevant to the above post. At the moment I'm
working as Staff Engineer (R&D) in Singapore plant of biomedical product
design and manufacturing company called Fluidigm Corporation, South San
Francisco, CA 94080.
I have over twenty one (22) years work experience in the 'Design and
Engineering' department of organizations of repute. Have hands-on
experience in computer software like Solidworks, Unigraphics, Moldflow,
CADfix, AutoCAD, MS Office etc. Fully aware of design, drafting,
documentation, manufacturing, assembly & testing practices of Plastic
Parts, Injection Moulds and Die Casting Moulds. I'm eager to accept
challenging assignments requiring new ideas and analytical skills.
Because of the above theoretical and practical skills, I am able to guide
and lead effectively a team of engineers and designers so as to achieve the
goal of "on time delivery" and "quality".
As I have an extensive background in bio-medical product design, mould
design and project management, my aspirations for career development are to
obtain an engineering management position in a forward thinking company
that would allow me to share my design & project management experience and
train the next generation of top engineers.
I am looking forward to discussing appropriate opportunities with you in
the near future.

___________
ACHIEVEMENTS (RECENT)
. Successfully designed and qualified the "IFC (Integrated Fluid Circuit)
Chip Carriers" (a high precision part injection molded with optical grade
COC) within the project timeline of < 6months.
. Developed "IFC Chip Carrier" with high density micro channels (100
microns width) and molded 0.4 thru holes (over 400 holes/ Carrier) to
avoid micro drilling and brought down the Carrier cost to half. Developed
Ultrasonic Welding joint with O-ring for a high performance 45psi
pressure accumulator with zero rejection.
. Received Hedgehog Award from Fluidigm Corporation (South San Francisco)
for successfully designing and qualifying the most complex Bio-tech
Plastic Device called Gen-2 Carrier with high density micro channels and
vias. End product is called "Lab on Chip", a bio-chip used for high
throughput biological applications.
. Localized the parts through Quality, Productivity, and Cost negotiations
within and outside company and reduced cost even further.
. Developed extensive Design Improvements, examples of which can be
provided upon request.
. During my tenure as a Design Supervisor (in the previous company), over
90% of mold designs were completed on time needing very minimal
adjustments at 'first of trial'.
Excellent record of team work and settling all technical issues with
customers and vendors.
Trained a number of Engineers who are holding responsible positions in
various organizations.
By virtue of my capability of solving day-to-day engineering problems and
winning the confidence of my colleagues, I am able to get the things done
in an agreed/targeted way.
