Objective

successfully provided $238 thousand in annual savings to the plant.

. Initiated and executed an additional five projects that produced over

$450 thousand in annual savings for the plant.

. Made continuous process improvements that resulted in enhanced quality in

the product and greater safety on the production line.

. Created software tools for roadmapping and transitioning science and

technology initiatives.

. Converted product database and other department software to Microsoft

products. This enabled the engineering department to track material

costs and project savings. It also enhanced electronic interfacing

between equipment, the database and the operators.

Personnel Development & Team Building

. Managed 45 personnel in the efficient maintenance and operation of the

propulsion plant.

. Managed 54 personnel in the efficient operation and maintenance of the

battle group commander's satellite communications equipment.

. Managed collaborative engineering processes between the Navy, ARL and

. While serving as Liaison Officer aboard a ship of a foreign navy,

instructed the crew in the use of their newly acquired Tactical Data

navies.

Maintenance Management

. Maintained all the Engineering Readiness Management Programs. Prepared

daily, monthly, and quarterly engineering reports.

. Managed the overhaul of the Main Propulsion Division during a three-

month shipyard availability. Successfully overhauled several major

equipments, including a gas turbine engine, two waste heat boilers and

the entire fuel system.

. Managed 35 technicians in the efficient maintenance and operation of the

ship's radio, radar, electronics, computers, and satellite navigation

equipment. Maintained flawless maintenance of the ship's Communication

Security Program. Managed the best Automated Information Security

Account in the squadron.

. Conducted maintenance and upkeep inspections of decommissioned ships now

serving as museums.

. Engineered and executed the flawless transfer of all authorized

communications radar and electronic navigation equipment to the RAN and

managed the off load, packing and shipment of the remaining equipment
