the trim department on 3rd shift. Responsible for vacation request and
timekeeping. Assure safety and production levels are maintained at all

January of 2009 Rea announced the sale and closing of its Pontiac Street
facilities, product lines and equipment to Elektrisloa, a Massachusetts
based company. During the transition of equipment and processes to the new
owners I worked closely with the Operations Manager and Vice President of
Magnet Wire to ensure quality and production was maintained.

Direct manage and coordinates the overall department for Specialty
Insulated and Superconductor product families as well as the plant wide
Wire Mill the execution of manufacturing schedules, quality assurance
requirements, personnel development, application of production, and ensure
that all is done in the safest possible environment. Direct Production
Shift Supervisors that support all production families in the plant.

Work with department managers to ensure that all their needs were met in
their respective areas to meet the annual operating plan and budgetary
commitments. Oversee all shifts supervisors and the daily manufacturing
across multiple departments.

Supervise 10-40 production employees on both static and rotating shifts to
assure safety and production levels are maintained at all times.
PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
> Increased production without adding manpower in Superconductor by
retooling applicator and splitting pulleys to accommodate a second
line on two quads. This increased production on this oven by 25%
adding $40,000 per month to this department's bottom line.
> Added PEEK line to (SI) Department without adding manpower; by doing
so this added $30,000 a month to this product family (Time Study)
> Tooling and equipment improvement in the Wire Mill translated into a
$400,000 savings the during the first year (Kaizen Team on Cook
Drawing Machines)
> Key member of team to gain ISO 9000 certification. Audited existing
processes, identified critical gaps and designed new corrective
procedures. Wrote work procedures, trained staff and achieved
certification
> Outlined and wrote safe work instructions for 3 departments
> Reduced manpower on Rod Mills by 50% while maintaining production
levels cost savings of $150,000 per year (Time Study)
> Reduced Wire Mill inventory levels by 50% by stopping overruns, weekly
inventory along with IT program to close work orders when complete.
> Reduced departmental scrap by 15% (Process Engineer Accountability)
> 5's training for myself, process engineers and leadsmen for all
departments
> Established departmental observations based on 5's to maintain a
minimum acceptable standard for housekeeping throughout the plant

> During the 2005 corporate wide safety audit, I received recognition
from our CEO and President of Magnet Wire for our plant's
improvements. Our score the previous year was 71 and the 2005 score
was 97, the highest in the corporation
> Developed and implemented the Train the Trainer program for Square and
Rectangular Department to shorten training time and ensure best
practice process procedures were being followed and maintained
> Facilitated numerous Root Cause Failure Analysis Investigations in
regard to Safety and Equipment failures
