Position Applied For: Production Supervisor
Self-Employed, Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Provider
09/2008 to 07/2009
Owned and operated TLC Medical Transport Inc., a non-emergency
transportation company in the Indianapolis area. I just recently sold the
company and moved back to the Fort Wayne area.
Transported clients from nursing homes and assisted living facilities to
their medical appointments. Sold the company so I could move back to the

Efficiency Scorecard).
. Ensure that predictive maintenance processes are being followed.

personnel, and that effective counter measures are put in place to arrive
at the root cause: RE: (BDA's), Break Down Analysis.
. Work on continuous improvement processes (Kaizen), such as; Operator
Preventive Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis, Break Down Analysis
Autopsies, and True Efficiency Scorecards.

Inspect & Lubricate), E.O.W.S. (End Of Week Sanitation) so that all

Sub-Contracted Maintenance Supervisor from: 02/2004-10/2006
1) Facilities/Maintenance Supervisor; Allison Transmission Mfg.
(12/2005-05/2007)
2) Maintenance Supervisor for Production Support; International Engine
(02/2004-11/2005)
Maintenance/Facilities Supervisor for S&G Construction Services, a Michigan-
based, sub-contracting firm, which provided Allison Transmission (Division
of General Motors) and other area companies with Maintenance Supervisors.
My primary job responsibility at both of these locations was to maintain
the highest possible O.E.E. (Overall Equipment Effectiveness %) of the
highly automated transmission and engine machining lines. I supervised 28
skilled trades/maintenance team members made up of a combination of
electricians, millwrights, machine repairmen, carpenters, toolmakers, and
pipe fitters. Through the acquired combination of my skilled trade's
supervisory experience, my own Journeyman Toolmaker background knowledge,
and with a technical education acquired from Purdue University, I have been
able to perform well beyond the expectations of my employer. My
supervisory and R&D experience in the manufacturing areas of Production,
Manufacturing, Engineering, and R&D Lab testing environments, have provided
me with a very wide-range of expertise. I would like to return to doing
what I enjoy the most and that is to secure a Toolmaker/Machinist position
with a company which rewards their employees based on the merit of their
job skills, work performance and being a team player.
Prototypes/Samples Coordinator
09/1998-11/2003
Eaton Clutch Div.
My official title at this Company was Samples Coordinator, in which I was
basically a Technical Buyer. I procured all the Prototypes and Samples for
engineering while working out of the Engineering R&D Lab. I also multi-
tasked, such as, assisting in the outsourcing for precision machined
components used on the assembly line, on-site customer interaction at
warranty reviews, and assisting the purchasing department in conducting
supplier certification audits. I was also actively involved in joint "cost-
out" projects (cross-functional teams) with the local foundry, which
provided Eaton with the gray iron castings used in the manufacturing of our
clutch pressure plates and intermediate plates. This joint cost-out project
did pay dividends. Our goal going into this project was to reduce the
porosity problems which we were experiencing in the castings, and to reduce
our number of machining processes as much as possible. We ended up with an
overall cost savings of approximately 15%. Our porosity problems were
nearly eliminated to zero (less scrap). Ultimately, by rectifying the
porosity issues we were able to reduce the weight of the castings and
reduce the number of lathe machining passes from two turning passes to one.
Production Supervisor

zero defects.

. Assisted Process Engineers in the setting-up of newer, more effective

. Solicited the input of the hourly personnel by asking for and
implementing their suggestions to increase production and to improve
quality of the driven discs assembly work cells. By doing this, it
improved the relationship between management and the hourly personnel.
When asked to participate in the decision-making process, the hourly
people took more "ownership" and pride in assuring their ideas would
work.
