Interfaces
Manage Systems Engineering and Interface (SE&I) First Stage interfaces of
the frustum and solid rocket booster of the Ares launch vehicle between
stages, including maintenance and revision of the Upper Stage / First Stage
Interface Control Document
. Project Management PM of First Stage, FS systems engineering and
Integration, SE&I interfaces to meet the Ares I contract end item CEI
requirements. Monitor and execute to the Master Schedule for Ares program
to ensure tasks are completed with no schedule or cost variances.
Interface with supplier chain management for space flight hardware between
stages
. Support the Ares First Stage Project Office in definition, creation, and
coordinating of electrical, mechanical and software interfaces between the
Upper Stage (Orion Capsule/J2X Engine) and First Stage Solid Rocket
Booster. Coordinate with other product teams and lead preliminary design
reviews, PDR, critical design reviews, CDRs, end item procurement and
qualification
. Develop and actively manage project plans create and review system
requirements to ensure interfaces meet program goals and objectives while
providing requirements flow down from design, delivery and operational
flight. Wrote bilateral usage agreement, BUA between stages and worked
with suppliers to keep contract items within budgets and utilize common
hardware items across program
