Objective
Professional position in a Logistics / Telecommunication environment so I
could continue to use my background and experience to help another company
grow and succeed. Desiring to grow and challenge myself within the
organization for the benefit of my new company.
Employment
Fujitsu / Altura, United States of America, Chantilly, Virginia
April 1992 - December 2009
Logistics Coordinator
Began as Logistics Coordinator for Fujitsu Business knowing nothing about
the
telecommunications field but quickly mastering all the duties assigned to
me in
my job description. I also worked outside of my assigned duties performing
many
of the requirements for customer service representative and purchasing. In
2001
Fujitsu Japan closed down the North American arena and we were all going to
lose
our jobs. However Platinum Equity bought us and we became Altura
Communication
Solutions and an Avaya business partner. I was retained and took on more
responsibilities which included running other off site warehouses for the
other branches in different regions of the country. Recently there were
times when I would carry the whole country by myself. All the CSR's(
customer service rep), customers, technicians, project managers, service
managers and Area Directors thought highly of me and told me I was the
best.
Job Description: Shipping and receiving, inventory control of warehouse and
tech trucks, ordering material for jobs, running cycle counts and
inventories, expediting material, delivering parts, perform on call 24/7,
handling repairs.
Other Duties taken on: Invoicing, dispatching techs to sites, sourcing
material for best price, customer quotes, customer service issues /
resolving disputes, collection calls on delinquent accounts, direct

$100,000.00
Magnavox DOD, United States of America, Ashburn, Virginia
March 1987 - March 1992
Secret Security Clearance
Senior Material Handler
I was hired as a Senior Manufacturing Associate. Due to my skills I was
quickly
moved to the Material Handling Division. My Supervisor told me that my
talents
were being wasted as an assembly line worker. Within one year I was
laterally
moved to work permanently in the Materials Department. This new
responsibility
required tracking over 8000 line replaceable units making certain all items
were
in the proper place and at the correct time for the work being performed. I
also made sure all units were at the current revision and if not made sure
the units would get reworked. As part of this Department I attended and
provided reports and inputs in meetings with high level managers and
department heads. I earned high praise from the head of the program office
who told me I had real talent for this work. I also worked with flow charts
and engineers cleaning up work processes. During my employment I presented
a cost saving initiative that would, by spending
$10,000.00 result in saving over One million dollars. In the early 1990's
the
Government Contracts ended and the Virginia Office was closed and moved
back to
Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Job Description: Internal expeditor
E.I.T., United States of America, Sterling, Virginia
March 1982 - March 1987
Assembler / Senior Assembler
Was initially hired in warehouse receiving and shipping for EIT but due to
a
severe work slowdown was let go three months later. However I had helped
clear
out a substantial backlog of work and I was the only person asked to return
due
to my highly effective work ethic. I was placed into the assembly area
where I
quickly mastered all jobs given to me. My work was so accurate that the
quality
people rarely checked my worked because they knew it would be 99.9%
accurate. I
was quickly moved to Senior Assembler where I continued to excel in all
areas.
EIT was a main vendor for EI DuPont and when they experienced work slow
downs so
did we. Although my boss told me that even if it got so bad that it was
just he
and I working I should not worry about being laid off. But I desired
security so
I moved over to Magnavox.
Job Description: Assemble and manufacture complex PWB's ( printed wiring
boards ) and wire harness assemblies.
