DSA Electro Controls Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, India
Internship at DSA during undergrad did lead to fulltime position after graduation. Job duties involved:
• Oversaw purchasing of steel, sheet metal, tools and other raw materials required for production.
Used SAP ERP for purchase orders and inventory management for fabrication department.
• Decided between outsourcing or in house production by analyzing schedule & cost constraints
• Negotiated prices and supply agreements with suppliers of raw materials and specialty tool
manufacturers in Germany and Japan
• As a member of vendor development team, actively worked in cross functional environment to build
new and meaningful relationships with various suppliers of the company
• Using Activity Based Costing (ABC) approach established a costing matrix by analyzing the
activities in production plant. This matrix was later used as a base for proving quotations to new
potential customers

• Performed cost modeling for components manufactured in the company
• Prepared Bill of Materials (BOM), official cost estimates and revised engineering drawings for the
company as well as outside vendors
• Maintained optimum inventory levels using SAP ERP tools
• Achieved 15% gain in output of welding assembly line by designing improved jigs and fixtures and
by changing the workflow and worker positions
• Oversaw design changes and managed the bill of materials for product lines
• Designed and developed entirely new and innovative mechanism to lift and transport heavy
electrical control panels up to weight of 3 tons
• Performed 3 D modeling and simulation of the conceptual design on Pro E. Performed critical
bending analysis of main screw (heart of the machine) on ANSYS
• Built scaled down model of the selected design (to 1/3rd scale) to perform feasibility analysis
• The actual development involved manufacturing of more than 60 individual components in different
quantities which were finally assembled to make two identical machines. The tolerances of
critical parts were as close as 0.005 mm
• Actively monitored the production process involving Wire EDM, CNC lathe and CNC milling
machines to ensure the quality

2008 Current: Project Analyst**
CEEE (Affiliated to the George Washington University), Washington, DC
• Developed budgets and work breakdown structures for projects funded by federal and private
research grants using Gantt and Pert charts & learning curve analysis
• Calculated Critical Path in Pert Charts for project and time estimation
• Worked with senior management to determine bidding prices for funded projects
• Developed advanced financial models in Excel using concepts of Net Present Worth (NPV), Internal
Rate of Return (IRR) and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF)
• Used @Risk, a statistical simulation tool, to simulate financial models built on historical data to
analyze risk exposure, confidence intervals and other probabilities. These simulations greatly
improved the accuracy of forecasts
• Successfully automated various accounting tasks by designing programmed Excel sheets using
macros
• Used GW’s Enterprise Accounting System based on Oracle Financials release 11.0.3
• Used Pathway Net, a product of PROCARD to manage and tie company expenses to EAS.
Task required understanding of accounting principles in depth knowledge of Oracle Financials

budget and alerted project managers regarding significant variances
• Managed monthly effort allocation of each of the research staff for efficient funding allocation
• Designed and developed a database to analyze travel expenditure incurred by staff in Microsoft
Access
• Designed and developed database in Access to automatically calculate and report leave balances,
timesheets and daily staff whereabouts with the ability of processing data arrived through email
• Automated the entire departmental library system using web based tools. Maintained up to date
records of books and journals by building a liaison between library of congress database, Gelman
Library database of The George Washington University and the company’s internal library
