Special Project - Manager, Inventory Control and Operations Analysis

2008 - 2009

Position held concurrently with Operations Analysis position.

Selected to direct and manage five employees responsible for controlling

$65 million of inventory located in 29 co-manufacturing facilities and

eight third party warehouses. Audited physical inventories and reviewed

inventory reconciliations for these sites.

. Increased customer fill rate by four percent. Restructured

organization, reallocated work, redefined roles and responsibilities,

which enabled team to meet reconciliation deadlines.

. Utilized knowledge of in-plant SAP transactions in reviewing internal

SOX compliance mandates to positively influence implementation of SOX

controls.

. Forced off-shored A/P entry team to post invoices to profitability

segments as directed on the invoice. Taught manager and team lead how

to post invoices using this methodology.

. Increased senior level support for validity of company's $73 million

distribution budget. Changed metric from rates per equivalent case to

rates per hundredweight using unit of measure equivalents in MM

module. Partnered with SAP IT to upload logistics rates reducing two

weeks of manual input by five team members to 20 seconds in real time.

Improved process to include key logistics / operations managers in

validating line items.

. Delivered standard costs and distribution rates for next year's

Budget. Directed the participation of Purchasing and Cost Accounting

in developing yearly standards.

Maintained the company's Standard Cost System in SAP, including labor and
