LANDUN XUMEI FOODS CO., LTD. Taiyuan, China 2010 – Present

Chinese company entering into the Frozen French Fry business. Position focused on improving production

methods to ensure consistent quality and lower costs in the manufacturing of french fries. The company is

expanding capacity from 30,000 to 90,000 tons, which will make it the largest french fry company in China

and Asia.

Vice President – Factory Director

Assumed responsibility for full plant operations along with control and authority in the development of

agriculture and sales and marketing.

• Manage and direct factory operations with salaried staff and workers, approx. 200, half of those being

temporary or seasonal workers.

• Developed “Business Plan” for company

• Trained and implemented testing procedures for the QA department. Further developed data base for

maintaining and tracking results.

• Significantly increased sales of finished product in the first 5 months.

• Sourced, contracted and installed new packaging equipment for improved results and labor reduction.

One of North America's leading packaged food companies, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska with sales of

$12.7 billion. Lamb-Weston is the Potato Products portion of ConAgra Foods and produces over 4 billion

pounds of frozen potato products annually.

Plant Manager

Directed all plant operations with an operating budget of $110 million and a capital budget of $7.5 million.

• Manage and direct union factory with 420 hourly and 54 salaried positions.

• Lead and direct numerous “Lean Manufacturing” programs, including 5S, Centerlining, Kaizen and

Focused Improvement.

• Gained extensive experience with Organic, Halal, Kosher and Allergen products.

Operations Manager

• Managed non-union facility with 350 employees and 43 salaried personnel.

• Oversaw capital development and equipment installation for Aseptic Refrigerated Mashed Potato line.

• Lead projects to install robotic packaging machines, resulting in substantial efficiency improvements.

• Oversaw PSM and RMP programs

• Perform various quality audits, including Cook & Thurber, AIB, BRC and Siliker.

• Administered employee safety programs such as DuPont “Stop” and “Key Concepts of Safety”. These

programs led to an extremely favorable safety record, with reduced Worker’s Compensation claims and

reduced costs per man hour.

LAMB-WESTON DOGUS, Bolu, Turkey 1995 – 2002

A joint venture company between Lamb-Weston and Dogus Holding, Dogus Holding is the third largest

company in Turkey doing business in several business sectors. This company (LWD) purchased an existing

French Fry factory in Turkey.

General Manager/Country Manager

• Accountable for full P&L with direction of all business groups from agriculture through sales.

• Developed plan and oversaw construction of waste water treatment facility, completed project exceeded

environmental regulations.

• Implemented procedures, specifications and training for Quality Assurance department.

• Met with international customers quarterly to negotiate prices. This was necessary due to the high

inflation at the time.

• Successfully introduced new potato products to Turkish consumers, resulting in significant revenue

growth.

• Led major project to begin corporate potato farming in Turkey, imported farming equipment and leased

land.

• Oversaw construction of new high tech.20,000 ton raw potato storage.

LAMB-WESTON, American Falls, Idaho 1993 – 1995

Production Manager

• Responsible for the management and direction of the production department. Facility had 2 fry lines, 2

formed product lines and 2 flake drums.

• Initiated equipment modifications and procedures to correct an on-going major quality concern on the

main fry line.

• Developed program and documentation for a new supplier certification program for the Potato Flake

processing line.

• Designed equipment layout for a new specialty formed potato production line.

• Participated in “Plant of the Future” project to define concepts that were utilized in the construction of a

new facility in Canada.

• Negotiated 3 year labor contract with Teamsters.

LAMB-WESTON, Hermiston, Oregon 1989 – 1993

Quality Assurance Manager

• Promotion based on quality issues that resulted in a new management team to turn situation around.

• Instructor and mentor for the “Food Safety & Sanitation” portion of the companies “Process Quality

Training program.

• Managed the Quality Assurance department, consisting of 3 QA supervisors, 27 technicians and 3 clerks.
