Summary:
I am a registered environmental manager (REM), certified hazardous
materials manager (CHMM), and certified safety professional (CSP) offering
more than eighteen (18) years of environmental management experience
encompassing strategic planning, multi-media permitting, regulatory
compliance and reporting, regulatory permit negotiations in NC and SC,
pollution prevention and reduction methods, project engineering, and
development of employee health and safety programs.
For 16 years, I served as the primary contact for three (3) industrial
facilities, one Title V and two synthetic minor facilities, and was
responsible for all aspects of environmental compliance. I assisted the
safety manager in the development and implementation of numerous safety
programs.
For approximately 28 months, I worked for a major chemical production
facility and one product transfer terminal - with emphasis in air
permitting and compliance. Both facilities are subject to Title V and
applicable MACT regulations. For approximately four months, I served as an
Environmental. Health, & Safety (EHS) Manager for a composite wood
manufacturer.
Additional experience includes nine (9) years of textile experience
encompassing process engineering, product development, research, product
and departmental management, cost analysis, technical writing, and computer
skills including Lotus, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.

Responsible for facility compliance in all EHS areas. Title V facility with
operations that included on-site landfills, NPDES wastewater treatment
facility, potable water systems, and land application of wood bio-solids.
Evaluated boiler emissions and operational data in lieu of upcoming Boiler
MACT requirements. Completed annual air emissions inventories, TRI reports,
Title V / MACT semi annual compliance reports, landfill reports, etc.
Directed compliance efforts via Facility Safety and Environmental Managers
with supervision of seven (7) hourly staff. Reported to Facility Site
(Plant) Manager. Resigned position due to environmental ethics issues.

Responsible for obtaining all operating air permits for two Title V
facilities. Responsible for submitting information required for all air
permits including semi-annual and annual Title V compliance certifications,
annual air inventories, SARA 313 (Form R) reports, air permit renewal
applications, permit applications for facility modifications, construction,
etc. Assisted consultants in compliance demonstrations of pollution
control devices via stack testing. Assisted consultants with NC air toxics
dispersion modeling.
Reviewed new projects for potential PSD, NAAQS, MACT implementation, NC air
toxics, and employee health effects of chemical exposures impacts.
Assisted facility production, health, and safety staff in the review of
potential environmental impacts of future projects and maintenance

including one Title V facility. Responsible for submitting information
required for all permits including monthly POTW reports, semi-annual and
annual compliance Title V certifications, NC air toxics reports, EPCRA
(Tier II, Form R), NC Right to Know, RCRA, Storm Water, etc. Assisted in
the development of strategic planning for facility expansions,
modifications, and consolidations. Created a personal computer spreadsheet
database to calculate emissions by process required for NC air toxics
compliance, emissions inventories, and FORM R reporting. Minimized
pollution and reduced employee health risks by evaluating chemical products
prior to facility use and suggesting chemical or product substitution.
Organized spill response teams and taught HAZWOPER training classes.
Conducted indoor air monitoring and assisted consultants with stack testing
and computer modeling (SCREEN, REFINED). Assisted in the design and
installation of a wet electrostatic precipitator. Assisted in the
selection of pollution equipment. Managed projects costs for hazardous
waste disposal, analytical services, etc. Conducted lab and pilot plant
studies to reduce BOD, COD, TSS, etc. in industrial wastewater. Assisted in
the implementation of OSHA programs including HAZCOM, MSDS databases,
