• Initiated OTO Development, LLC’s “merchant builder” strategy which immediately provided the company
approximately $15 million in proceeds on the sale of the initial four hotel development projects. (27.7%
return on Cost Basis – 146.6% return on Equity)
• Implemented Extended Stay America, Inc. development growth strategy which allowed the company to
increase its market value from approximately $1.3 billion to $3.1 billion. (Sold May, 2004)
• Completed acquisition and development of 50+ La Quinta Inns, Inc. properties, which allowed the company
to increase its market value from approximately $420 million to $2.65 billion. (Sold July, 1998)
• Provided diversified real estate managerial skills for the Resolution Trust Corporation to coordinate
development of a strategic disposition plan that resulted in a portfolio reduction of approximately $1.0
billion in two years. Asset managed a diversified property and loan portfolio valued in excess of $1.5
billion.
• Coordinated analysis and provided recommendations to the executive committee for capital events
associated with VMS Realty Partners hotel and related real estate portfolio valued in excess of $2 billion.
Major acquisition valuations included InterContinental, Rockresorts, Westin, Omni, and Guest Quarter hotel
companies.
