Bureau of Land Management, Utah State Office. I Supervise the Property
Management of 13 Field Offices and track 6,000 items in the State of Utah.
I manage a fleet of 410 vehicles. I approve all purchases of property for
13 offices. I make field inspections of all offices and report findings to
upper management. I direct Board of Surveys and enforce findings. I prepare
the Space Leasing budget and submit to OMB. I am the Agency program
coordinator for the Fleet credit cards. I prepare and submit the five year
Asset Business plan.
Nov 2001 to Oct 2005. 40 hours per week. Contract Specialist, GS-1102-09,
Army Contracting Agency, Fort Douglas, Utah. I perform the full range of
Contract Specialist simplified acquisition functions using Federal laws to
include purchase requests, proposals, delivery orders, receiving reports,
pricing and contract modifications. I process Purchase Request orders for a
wide range of services, equipment, supplies, and construction work. I
process orders from diverse organizations with a wide variety of contracts
requirements. I coordinate the request for waivers and delivery schedule
changes. I obtain additional funds and deobligate funds to ensure that over-
obligation does not occur. I am the IMPAC program manager for 350
cardholder and approving officials for six states. I conduct training
classes of 30-40 people for all cardholders yearly. I review all credit
card transactions yearly so that required mandatory sources of supply (
JWOD, UNICOR) are met. I prepare and mail requests for proposals and
receive responses. I make sure applicable provisions and clauses are place
in proposals (with Federal laws such as Davis Bacon, EEO, Federal
Acquisition Rules and The Service Contract Act). I make progress payments
ensuring the contract requirements are met. I review scope of work and
statement of work that are submitted. I promote full and open competition
for all purchases as required by the Federal Acquisition Rules. I use cost
accounting to determine the best value for the government. I hold a credit
card and make purchases for up to $150,000.00. I am level Two Contracting
certified.
April 1991 to 2001. 40 hours per week. Inventory Management, GS-2005-07,
Civilian, United Sates Property and Fiscal Office for Utah, P.O. Box 2000
Draper Utah, 84020-2000. I am the Ammo manager for the State of Utah; I
forecast inventory demands, order and receipt for stock of controlled
items. I issue and receive turn-ins for ammo. I support all reserves of the
Army, Marines and Navy in Utah. I maintain proper stock levels. I process
and order all tools, maps, flags and awards and medals. I prepare
correspondence and manage 30-40 projects at a time. I am the SAAS-MOD
systems administrator. I prepare and give briefings and train new personal
on ammo matters. I hold a credit card and make purchases. I manage funds. I
use cost accounting to determine best value for the government and source
selection.
December 1988 to April 1991. 40 Hours per week. Inventory Manager GS-2010-
09, USAF, Hill AFB, Utah. I was the Item Manager for the F-16 Radar. I
calculated and requested requirements. I used the DO41and DO35 systems for
supply to issue and receive assets. I initiated Purchase requests, 206
requests for maintenance, processed MICAPS and Foreign Military Sales. I
prepared briefings and correspondence for NATO and other foreign countries.
I prepared statements of work for contracting. I prepared purchase
requests. I issued work orders.
1987-1988 Teaching Assistant Granite High School. I was a teaching
assistant for 40 Special Education Students. I administered tests to
student, corrected and recorded results. I assisted in the development of
Individual Education Plans.
December 1988 to present. 34 hours per week. Business Owner of Furgeson's
