410 Interstate Park Drive
Montgomery, AL 36109
Position: PeopleSoft Consultant / Architect
Client -Air Force ROTC/JROTC - Holme Center - Maxwell AFB, AL
Consultant at client site participating in various technical projects.
Client has developed complete in-house ROTC/JROTC system, called WINGS,
originally based on PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. All work was done using
PSTools 8.49 and Oracle 11g.
. Defense Travel System (DTS) project - performed analysis, design,
and development to send ROTC cadet travel plans to DTS for
processing, travel arrangements, and expense accounting. During
their time in ROTC, each cadet will be traveling to various
locations for training needs. There are about 4000 Air Force
cadets each year. The government has put in place a travel system
geared for all military travel. The goal of this project is to
utilize the Defense Travel System for all ROTC travel needs. Using
PeopolSoft AppEngine, PeopleCode rowset processing, XML file layout
definitions, and Java, a process was developed to collect, format,
and send cadet travel information to DTS. Data returned from DTS
(such as the specific travel itinerary) is to be entered into the
ROTC WINGS system.
. JROTC Year-End Spend Plan (YESP) - Modified YESP system for fiscal
year 2010 requirements. Each year in April, JROTC units must
estimate their spending needs for May through September. The
estimates are deducted from each unit's budget and any excess is
collected by JROTC administration to be re-distributed to other
units. Developed new setup screen to record the estimating start
and end dates since they vary each year. Added/modified existing
PeopleCode so that estimates were entered into correct categories
for 2010.
. JROTC Tuition Expense and Reimbursement system - Added enhancements
to improve the system. Modified existing screens and PeopleCode
based on user changes. At users request, modified the wording on
forms generated by XMLP.
. JROTC Instructor Weight and Body Fat Management Program (WBFMP) -
Analyzed, designed and developed process for monitoring instructors
in need of weight management. Air Force regulations require JROTC
instructors adhere to certain weight / body fat standards. When
instructors do not meet those standards, they are entered into a
weight management program. The WBFMP system tracks their progress.
Using new PeopleSoft screens, PSQuery, and XML Publisher; the
system collects monthly weight readings, displays current status,
shows entire instructor history, and prints appropriate letters to
instructors. Extensive PeopleCode usage and common function
routines to avoid duplication of code. A quick status of all
instructors in the program is displayed on the administrator's home
page as a query pagelet. Administrator reporting is done through
an online screen showing a grid for the data for any timeframe.
Each cell in the grid has the ability to 'drill down' to the
underlying detail.
