2009

SalesFarm, LLC - Petaluma, CA

Founded, established and managed Internet Sales and Marketing Agency.

Directed all B2B sales and marketing efforts. Created company. Wrote

business plan. Secured business licensing and funding. Leased and

established office. Built sales and marketing platform, literature and

presentations. Cold-called prospects. Presented and sold services to C-

level executives. Closed 50 accounts in 12 states in 12 months. Sold and

Managed worldwide marketing events department for international

telecommunications equipment manufacturer. Strategically organized, pre-

planned, implemented and managed 80 marketing events & trade shows

during tenure. Wrote and managed budget, which exceeded two-million

dollars per year. Consulted with customers, vendors, sales reps, Zhone's

non-US offices, and association meeting planners. Managed and

coordinated tremendously successful users group meeting for 350 guests

representing more than 30 countries. As part of this meeting, I planned,

directed and supervised accompanying exhibitor's forum/trade show, which

included exhibits from more than 25 companies. Streamlined department.

Integrated operations, saving the company hundreds of thousands of

dollars.

Marketing Events Manager - April 1997 - Nov. 2004

ArthroCare Corporation - Sunnyvale, CA

Managed marketing events department with two direct reports.

Strategically organized, pre-planned, implemented and managed all

marketing events, trade shows, national and international sales

meetings, seminars, symposiums, training meetings, and medical

laboratories for the company and its six divisions (approximately 180

events per year). Attended and managed shows, meetings, and medical

laboratories from set-up to take down. Often trained and advised

surgeons. Consulted with surgeons, medical support staffs, independent

and direct sales representatives, our company's non-US offices, and

medical association meeting planners concerning the company's

orthopedic, percutanious spine, open spine, general surgery, neurology,

urology, cardiology, ENT, dermatology, and plastic surgery products.

Wrote, planned and managed $800,000+ annual corporate trade show and

meetings budget. Managed Marketing-Communications Department as well as

Events Department from 1997 to 1999. Managed and produced high-quality

collateral including corporate and sales literature, technical

documentation, users' manuals, trade show graphics, videos, and CD-ROMs.

Created company's initial Internet web site. Self-taught myself on

medical procedures and vocabulary so that I could speak effectively with

surgeons and often sold them on products to be used for their surgical

procedures . Helped the company grow from $5m in sales in 1997 to more

entertainment, studio, and political divisions. Wrote, edited, and

designed collateral including data sheets, newsletters, manuals,

brochures, direct mail and print ads. Produced and scripted corporate

videos. Built and delivered presentations. Produced public relations

material. Coordinated and managed numerous trade show efforts. Served as

liaison between marketing and sales departments. Constructed and

implemented cooperative agreements with broadcast companies. Helped the

1997.
