TAYLOR Newport Beach, CA

Project Manager assigned to the following projects:
Hoag Hospital Irvine, CA- Formerly the Irvine Medical Center with primarily
women and infants and emergency services. Jointly purchased by Hoag
Hospital and Hoag Orthopedic Institute, the 2-story medical services
building was completely renovated to provide orthopedic, cardiovascular,
emergency and ambulatory services. In addition, patch, paint and
furnishing renovations took place throughout the rest of the hospital.
The project was divided into 14 packages, 11 of which were submitted to
OSHPD for review and approval. My direct and extensive involvement were
with the following:
Package 1- renovation of existing second floor space into a 24-bed PACU and
Pre-Op recovery unit to serve Hoag Orthopedic Institute.
Package 2- renovation of selected first floor areas into a new Imaging unit
that included MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine and Fluoroscopy, as well as a 2-
unit Cardiac Catheterization suite; renovation of a selected second floor
area into a new Central Sterile Supply that included 3 new sterilizers and
3 new washer/ disinfectors. Services were shared by both Hoag Hospital and
Hoag Orthopedic Institute
Package 2A- renovation of existing 8-OR suite on second floor with
expansion of 3 for orthopedic services to serve Hoag Orthopedic Institute
Package 3- renovation of selected first floor space into 2 operating rooms,
7-bay PACU/ Pre-Op recovery, sterile processing and support for Hoag
Hospital; renovation of selected second floor space adjacent to existing OR
suite into 2 additional operating rooms for Hoag Hospital.
Package 9- renovation of (1) existing room on each floor of 5-story patient
tower into Isolation Rooms
Package 14- coordination of all medical equipment being installed
throughout above packages; assistance with coordinating equipment being
installed elsewhere
I was responsible for the teams producing the documentation for the above,
coordinating all engineers and equipment vendors involved, direct
communications with the client's facilities and construction teams,
preparation of all submittals for OSHPD 1 review, architectural responses
and coordination of engineer's responses to all OSHPD review comments,
construction administration.
Los Angeles County South Health Center Los Angeles, CA- new 2-story, 30,
000 SF medical center in the Wilowbrook district that replaced the existing
facility in Compton. An OSHPD 3 project, services included STD, TB
examination and treatment, general screening and preventative medicine;
additionally, space for neighborhood outreach and physicians' offices were
provided.
The project was a design-build collaboration. I was responsible for
the architectural team producing documentation, efforts for project to
achieve LEED Gold certification, coordinating all engineers, direct
communications with both construction company managing project and LA
County user groups, drawing production, and submittals for LA County OSHPD
3 review.

Began as Project Architect, assigned to the following and other projects
throughout Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts:
CWN Level 7 Room Service Kitchen- completed all architectural documents,
specifications; conducted client and consultant coordination activities;
assisted with construction supervision.
Tower Level 14 Room Service Kitchen- finished Construction Documentation
set; conducted client and consultant coordination activities and
Massachusetts Department of Public Health review applications; assisted
with construction supervision.
Main Campus Kitchen Renovation/ Expansion- 15,000 SF of renovation with
$1.5M construction budget; completed all architectural documents,
specifications and Massachusetts Department of Public Health review
applications; conducted client and consultant coordination activities;
assisted with construction supervision.
Servicecenter Building Renovation- 10,000 SF of renovation into Dietary
Dept. offices, lockers, IT Data Center with $2M construction budget;

construction with $8M construction budget; led 7-person team that completed
the design and construction documentation; completed architectural
specification and Massachusetts Department of Public Health review
applications; responsible for all consultant coordination.
Promoted to Project Manager and assigned to the following projects:
Elliot Hospital- assisted with 2005 Master Plan effort for new Bed/ Patient
Services Tower; later projects were addition of Pediatric Wing for existing
Emergency Department, then planning and programming for major renovations
to Emergency Department for 3 to 8 new trauma bays.
Children's Hospital Boston- assisted in 6 laboratory renovations throughout
the Enders Laboratory for a variety of research specialists investigating
pediatric illnesses. Projects ranged in size from 1500 SF to 5000 SF.
Detroit Medical Center- proposed 8-story, 150,000 SF Heart Hospital with
$125M construction cost comprised of Invasive and Non-invasive services,
Emergency Department consolidation,

office space; Assisted with initial planning/ programming and client

Karmanos Cancer Center at Detroit Medical Center- Proposed 3- story, 30,000
SF of new construction and 15,000 SF of renovation of existing cancer
center with $30M construction budget; Comprised of dedicated 8-OR surgical/
recovery unit, 12-bed inpatient floor, and public/ ambulatory services,
project later included complete renovation of DMC patient recovery services
area that is part of the Surgery Department.
Led project team spread throughout 5 different US cities (Boston, NY,
St. Louis, Buffalo and Detroit) including collaborating architect;
Responsible for all team coordination and oversaw all planning/ production
efforts; Assisted with client and construction manager coordination;
Conducted both virtual and on-site project meetings for entire team.
King Faisel Specialist Hospital & Research Center- throughout Programming
and Concept phase, managed team designing and planning new Emergency
Department/ Family Services/ Outpatient Services Building and Royal/VIP
Building; anticipated 135,000 SF of new construction, construction budget
unknown; oversaw initial planning and programming efforts; assisted with
logistical efforts in support of larger overall project encompassing 2M SF
and anticipated construction cost of $700 million.
Hartford Hospital- consolidation of existing Pharmacy Department services
on High Building Levels 3, 7 and Basement to High Building Level 13;
approximately 11, 000 SF of area with $3.1M construction budget; led 8-
person team completing all documentation; completed architectural
specification; solely responsible for client and contractor coordination
and construction supervision.
Made an Associate in December 2006; Trained as healthcare design specialist
