PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Sprint Overland Park, Kansas . Sprint is a leading provider of

innovative communication products and solutions around the world. A Fortune

500 company with more than $27 billion in annual revenues and is widely

recognized for developing, engineering and deploying state- of-the-art

network technologies.

Applications Development Design Support

As an internal tools team, my group provided custom java web applications

for other Sprint customers including IT. We designed and supported more

than 15 web-based applications, supported 5 custom-built internal

applications and 3 enterprise project management applications that served

as many as 5,000 users throughout the US, India and Brazil. One of these

applications was so robust and fundamental to users that it was in service

for 10 years.

. By creating efficiencies using agile development, detailed visioning and

requirements gathering, an internal developed framework, reuse of code,

reporting and interfaces etc., we were able to have short development

time that continually impressed our customers who gave us numerous Sprint

Values Excellence awards.

. Provided customized content management /web support sites for all our

applications that was easily tailored for each app and provided up to

three levels of support and resulted in patent application.

. Managed and supported these projects from concept creation through

implementation and the on-going support gaining broad comprehensive

knowledge of the entire SDLC.

. All web applications were enterprise deployments, intuitive, monitored

during business hours and had response time of less than 5 seconds

exceeding Service Level Agreements. Management reports showing

performance were produced monthly.

. Led first successful large scale farm environment implementation of MS

Project Server 2007 in VMware environment as recognized by Microsoft.

IT Division Staff Support

Managed the time reporting and project labor accounting process for 1,600

employees and contractors. This included capturing and reporting project-

specific labor for use by various internal teams (project and resource

managers, leadership teams, and finance organizations). Utilized

communication skills to coordinate a variety of internal and vendor

activities and to teach and train staff about internal business processes.

Network Program Management Office

Provided technical project management support for 20 program managers,

directors, and VP's. This included creating and maintaining project plans

for dozens of concurrent projects with individual budgets as much as $20M

and a total portfolio value of more than $200M. This role lasted for

approximately 5 years and included "new" installations as well as upgrades

and retro-fits. The end result was the successful construction of North

America's first all-digital nationwide network.

Network Engineering Team (Land & Buildings)

Managed the engineering and construction of a variety of network facilities

for Sprint's nationwide, 23,000 mile fiber optic network. This included

planning, leading, and reporting on the activities of teams of 5 - 10

employees and contractors at each site as well as daily interaction with

engineering, IT, and PMO staff members (project managers through VP's) at

corporate offices. Project experience includes writing the specifications

for, and leading the installation of, a $100M Halon-based fire suppression

system in more than 170 buildings across the United States. That project

lasted more than 12 months and included the very high-profile international

gateway at Sprint's New York switch site.

Project Manager / Design Engineer HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air

Conditioning)

Managed, designed, specification writing and field inspection for design

build and energy conservation HVAC companies. This included new

construction, tenant finish and retrofits of HVAC, lighting and Energy

Management systems.
