tasks to obsolete objects that the DB2 and application teams were unaware

of.

resulting in eliminating obsolete schemas.

Washington Mutual Savings Bank(WAMU) (2001 - 2008)

Sr DB2 DBA for ZOS

Developed a process to purge and roll DB2 table partitions with minimal

down time to a near 24x7 application for Wamu.com saving over 800GB of DASD

and 50 minutes of CPU daily.

Provided analysis, design assistance and implemented a full rewrite of a

poorly performing DB2 application which saved over 400GB of DASD and 1.5

hours of wall clock per day.

Primary Support DB2 Backup/DR processes including developing REXX scripts

to reduce the checkout time after a DASD Flash Recovery from 60 minutes to

30 minutes.

upgrade from VSAM to DB2 which reduced the batch window by 2 hours nightly

exceeding the goal of 1 hour.

clients in the Call Centers.

Successfully on-boarded four off shore DB2 DBA's for our department which

business and team members requirements.

a critical Retail Bank Teller system and mentoring of my replacement on the

OS/2 team.

Support large scale Re-Engineering development converting branches to OS/2

Servers using Visual Banker(SmallTalk, C, IBM DB2 UDB) environment to
