TECHNICAL Senior Project, University of Hartford and Pratt & Whitney,
West Hartford, CT
EXPERIENCE September 2009-December 2009
. Developed a simple test rig to test the effectiveness of
different combinations of using a feather seal inside a
jet engine.
. The rig was fabricated with a clay mold that could be
connected to an air compressor using a sonic nozzle
which would regulate the air flow through the rig and
test the effectiveness of each feather seal. Data was
then analyzed and processed using Excel and a conclusion
was formulated.
. Results and conclusions were then presented to Pratt &
Whitney representatives.
Senior Design Project, University of Hartford and Emhart
Glass, West Hartford, CT
January 2010-May 2010
. Developed a coolant system based on the parameters
provided by the instructor.
. Used SolidWorks to make a suitable 3D model and made
calculations for the thermal and dynamic profile of that
model and met all requirements.
Class Projects, University of Hartford, West Hartford, CT,
Fall 2009- Spring 2010
. HVAC - Designed and calculated the heating and cooling
loads of a building off a designated base foundation
taking into account; the wall spacing of the studs, type
of insulation, wall type, number of doors and windows,
lights and people in the room, and the effect of the sun
on the property over a period of a day. After these
variables were put into effect, they were put into an
Excel spreadsheet and calculated.
. Energy Systems and Design - Multiple projects were given
to find the amount of energy that could be generated and
how to maximize the amount of energy produced for these
renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, and
photovoltaic's. After results were generated the best
suited system was chosen to be used to support the
results calculated for the system.
WORK Assistant Summer Baseball Coach, Cal Ripken Sr. League, Tacoma
Park, MD
EXPERIENCE May 2010-August 2010
. Coached college athletes ages 18 - 21 to learn effective
techniques of baseball; encouraged teamwork and
sportsmanship.
Stocker/Customer Service, BJ's Wholesale Club, Waldorf, MD
August 2006-present
. Stock merchandise on the shelves; provide excellent
customer service to diverse clientele; operate cash
register and accurately process cash and credit
transactions.
ACTIVITIES Division I Varsity Baseball, University of Hartford, 2006-
10
. Starting pitcher and Co-captain Senior year
ASME member, 2010- present
