EXPERIENCE
2010 – Present Collections Agent Jacob Law Group, Oxford, MS.
Specialized in national consumer debt collection and recovery, using experience and effort to
collect debt in an ethical and professional manner. Utilizing aggressive pre-litigation recovery
methods that are correspondence and telephone intensive. Communicated and provided customer
service to both the debtors and clients on a professional basis.
2008 – 2010 Collections Floor Manager, Payliance, Oxford, Ms.
Managed and supervised the collections floor for this national check verification and
collection agency. Set-up ACH drafts, processed credit card payments from the internet
and over the phone, and oversaw the total collections process on a daily basis.
Communicated and provided customer service to both the debtors and clients on a
professional basis. Extensive knowledge of the FDCPA and its regulations.
1998 - 2008 Executive Director of the Oxford Park Commission, City of Oxford,
MS.
Served as the Chief Administrative Officer for the city’s parks and recreation department.
Responsible to the City of Oxford for the administration, operation, safety and
management of all city parks, playgrounds, recreation centers, tennis courts, skate park,
swimming pools, athletic fields, and all comprehensive recreation programs serving over
20,000 citizens and participants in Oxford, University and Lafayette County area.
Managed an annual budget of over one million dollars while also bringing in hundreds of
thousands of dollars for economic development, through tournaments and special
programs which where held throughout the years
1982 - 1998 Director of Parks and Recreation, City of Brandon, Brandon,
Mississippi.
As the first Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Brandon, MS, I created this
Municipal department from the ground up. Worked with citizens and civic leaders in
determining what facilities and programs needed to exist and where to place them
throughout the City. Acquired the necessary funding, property, equipment and staff to
implement this task. Operated and maintained the budget, and obtained several grants
from state and federal governments as Director.
