Description:

The HLR Innovation is the next generation Home Location Register (HLR) from

Siemens AG. The HLRi is part of a mobile core network and its main

responsibility is to store subscriber data and provide the subscriber data

on request to other network entities, e.g. the VLR and the SGSN via MAP

interface. The HLRi itself is further evolving into the HLRd based on a

distributed architecture with separation of database from call processing &

provisioning. HLRd is based on Siemens Carrier-Grade Network Technology

Database (C-NTDB).

The information available in HLR database is

. Subscription Information like IMSI, MSISDN etc..

. Location Information like MSRN, VLR Number, MSC Number etc..

. Tele services and bearer services.

. Service Restrictions (Ex: Roaming Limitation).

. Supplementary service(Ex: LUP, SDM, SCI, MTC, USSD)
