lunch, dinner and late-night seatings. In addition, I am responsible for monitoring
and maintaining the appropriate soups and sauces to be available for servers. It
is also required that I properly maintain sanitation standards as required by
health codes. At the end of a serving period, I am also responsible for
participating, with the line crew, in the cleaning and sanitizing my station and the
entire kitchen in preparation opening the next business day.

I managed the overall marketing, advertising and public relations for both
recruitment and branding for Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida.
HCC has four (4) campuses serving more than 42,000 students per year. After a
7-year decline in enrollment, the College experienced an increase in enrollment
of approximately 7% per year between 2000 and 2007. Our team efforts resulted
in the College receiving national awards for publications and marketing programs
and was featured as the cover story in Admissions and Marketing Report, the
industry leader for post-secondary school marketing professionals. I also
managed the departments of Planning, Research and Evaluation (institutional
research), Management Information Systems, Advancement (alumni and
promotions), Marketing and Creative Services (publications and design) and
Grants Development. Marketing and PR was also responsible for overseeing the
creative development and content management of the College’s web site,

I owned and operated a full-service advertising, marketing, public relations and
public affairs firm in Tucson, Arizona. The agency recorded annualized gross
billings in excess of $1 million and received numerous regional and national
awards for creative excellent in both English and Spanish. We developed
effective and efficient marketing programs for clients including elements of
advertising in all relevant media and included a strong public relations
component. HMG’s client list included CIGNA Healthplan, Red Robin
Restaurants, AVATAR Holding, Inc., Richmond American Homes, Country Suites
by Carlson and Gonzales and Villarreal, P.C.

I served as Vice President of the Tucson location WFC/Westcom, a regional
advertising agency headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona and San Diego, California.
I managed the creative, account service and new business development for the
Tucson office. The office received several awards for creative excellence and
community service. The WFC client list included Circle K, HealthAmerica and
Forest City Properties. My responsibilities included development advertising and
media plans as well as creative advertisements for print, broadcast and out-of-
home placements.

to sensitize vocational schools to the needs of adult learners. The study also
explored providing a “bridge” between the needs of prospective employers and

The published study recommended socialization changes and industry advisory
councils to facilitate curriculum updates.

more than 400 staff an administered over $40 million.
