• Compiled an in depth literature review and written analysis on the ecology of all Corynorhinus species in the

Southeastern United States.

• Presented a poster of data and results of the L. borealis study.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

University of Kentucky, Department of Entomology. March, 2008 – January, 2009

Wildlife Lab Technician and Research Assistant

• Assisted with identifying and calculating the relative percentage of insect orders in bat guano in order to study the

dietary habits of several bat species throughout the state of Kentucky.

• Assisted in the capture and physical assessment of bats in the field. Experience with mist nets, Anabat detectors,

and field measuring devices, as well as collecting fecal pellets from bats captured.

• Responsible for entering data and maintaining excel spreadsheets.

• Maintained cleanliness of the wildlife laboratory.

• Data gathered for L. borealis was analyzed and used as an individual research project.

Veterinary Technician

• Responsible for corresponding with clients on the progress and well being of their animals.

• Assisted Veterinarians with vaccine administration, nail trims, surgical preparation, and various other procedures.
