2008/04 - 2009/08 in H2Gen Innovation Inc., Alexandria, VA, as Mechanical
engineer, responsibilities are:
. Hydrogen generation skids based heat exchanger reactors design, under
high temperature and pressure and with specific chromium-nickel alloy
materials for metal corrosion consideration, implementing Codes of TEMA,
ASME, API, etc.
. Carbon and/or stainless steel pressure vessels design and fabrication in
accordance with ASME Codes
. Pressurized steel structure under combination loads of wind, seismic,
etc. mechanical design and with up to 10 millions high cycle fatigue
stress analysis, with both in hand-on calculation in accordance with
ASME and ASCE-7 Codes as well as Pro/Mechcanica FEA analysis
. Successful projects related Product Data Management. Tools used
extensively included Pro/INTRALINK 3.0 and Microsoft NAVISION
. 3D model build with Pro/E for product related bill of materials (BOM)
and engineering change notices (ECN)

. Heat and mass transfer R&D of novel heat exchangers in freon vapor
compression refrigeration system
. Heat exchangers products design, fabrication and unit test, with
implementation of TEMA, ASME, and local Standards, supporting water
cooled chiller system of different refrigerants,
. Water and/or air cooled chiller system mechanical design, sample unit
test and data reduction for performance efficiency analysis, in
accordance with ARI and ASHRAE Standards
. Key member of project of technical support of key parts and assemblies
of centrifugal and screw chiller system transfer to China local plant
. Key member of project for Trane product-line key parts china local
sourcing (machined and/or cast), including local vender manufacture
capability qualification, etc.
2001/05 - 2004/07 in Institute of Chinese Academy of Science, Shanghai,
China, as Post doctor researcher, responsibilities are:
. Heat transfer technology R&D of key parts of aerospace propulsion
system, mechanical design, vacuum test and data reduction for thermal-
electric performance analysis
. CFD and FEA (I-DEAS/TMG, SINDA/G, etc.) software simulation for thermal-
electric and mechanical optimum design and performance analysis
. Pressurized piping system and vessels design (oil and gas) in accordance
