Objective Work as a Field Service Technician or in any other
related field.
Experience SCADA Technician
February 1, 2002-September 30, 2009 GeoMet
Operating, Birmingham, AL
Design and maintain a radio system for data
collection using spread spectrum radios in a
coalbed methane gas field. I also have some
experience working with the new Ethernet radios.
The two gas fields I worked in had radio systems
with comm. stats at around 60%. I improved both
systems, bringing them both up to 96 to 98% on the
comm. stats. I also designed, built and implemented
an interface to replace an existing FCU with a
newer model allowing us to use the existing remote
motor control equipment already on site saving the
company at least $1000.00 for each FCU changeover.
I worked with the field superintendent to implement
a program to put our variable frequency drives on
timer control, saving thousands of dollars a month
on the power bill.
Experienced in troubleshooting VFD and electric
motor problems, I have worked with controls for the
remote operation of pump jack motors, and have a
wide experience in the electrical maintenance
field.
