. Installed, administrated, supported and trained employees on all of the

new SUN Solaris. NASA was migrating from SUN OS 4.1.3 to Solaris 2.3.

Brought in for 5-month assignment. Coordinated and configured

installation of Operation systems, TCP/IP, NIS, NFS, DNS, backup &

recovery procedures, network connectivity and disaster recovery planning.

Performed duties in the areas of creating Project Charters, Initiating

Projects, Project Planning, Executing Projects, Control and Monitoring,

Project Deliverables/Closing the Project. Worked with various tools and

methodologies such as Bottom up and Top down approach, Waterfall,

SDLC/PLC, ROI, Project Cost Analysis, Grant and Pert Charts, Network

Diagrams, Project Scope, Project Management Plan, Risk Management, Triple

Constraint, WBS, Critical Path Analysis, working with Sponsor and

Stakeholders, and much more.

. This was a large UNIX IT infrastructure migration projects. Trained the

current UNIX Administrators in Solaris Administration and support.

. Financial Management of the project - Project Budgets, Time tracking and

reporting, and Project Invoice management.

. Risk Management - Define and address all project risk with the sponsor,

stakeholders, vendors, and the project team.

Brought in to manage there HP-UX/Unix Environment. Managed two computer

center, and all POS HP9000 servers in all eight Micro Center stores.

Coordinated and configured installation of the HP-UX Operation systems,

TCP/IP, NIS, NFS, backup & recovery procedures, network connectivity and

disaster recovery (DR) planning. Installed OS patches, and handled all

patch management. Coordinated installation and support of all Progress

Databases. Managed all vendor contacts and SLA's. Performed all system

architecture on the HP-9000 platforms. Coordinated all network

connectivity and network support with the Network Administrator.

KMART Head Quarters - Troy, Michigan

Brought in to manage there UniSys/Unix Environment. Managed the

migration/deployment of 2500 servers out to KMARTS 2500 stores.

Coordinated all management POS servers in all 2500 KMART stores.

Coordinated and configured installation of the UNIX SVR4 Operation systems,

TCP/IP, NFS, backup & recovery procedures, network connectivity and

disaster recovery (DR) planning. Installed OS patches, and handled all

patch management. Planned and managed the staging area for building all

the UniSys Servers before shipping out to the KMART stores. Managed all

vendor contacts and SLA's. Performed all system architecture on the UniSys

6000 server platforms.
