Qualified for and currently hold a U.S. Government security clearance obtained in 2005

through 2010 while employed at a firm contracting to the U.S. Department of Defense

obtaining ISO9000 certification by performing "in house" audits of Production and

EMPLOYMENT

Lance Foods Inc, Columbus, GA 2007- 2010 Production Manager

Managed and supervised the Laboratory testing requirements and start up of two new

product lines for my company’s two largest customers, General Mills and Nabisco

Develop, issue, and train 150 + employees on newly established, Quality control

(Laboratory), and Production procedures related to the lines of products being produced

Maintained inventory, order supplies, schedule and scheduled the shipment of finished

products to insure timely Customer delivery

Supervise a workforce of 140 full time employees and 10-15 temporary employees, to

include motivation, discipline, and labor utilization

Established and implemented “best practices” procedures for production and

housekeeping by the use of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies

Tracked and developed procedures for reducing the plant’s overall daily waste by 50%

Johns Manville, Phenix City, AL 2006- 2008 Prod. Supervisor / Laboratory Tech

Worked within Quality Control laboratory to ensure the correct application process of

products were within proper specifications. Used Statistical Process Control methods to

evaluate and adjust the application of Powder Coating / Formaldehyde based Polyester

resins on fiberglass piping (in process) to insure specifications

Supervise, motivate, train, and perform ongoing, as well as bi-yearly, individual

employee performance evaluations (P.I.P.) for a workforce of 125 - 130 production and

maintenance employees

Perform routine daily Quality inspections of production (in process) with members of

plant’s Safety Committee, Production and Engineering staff and aided in writing proper

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for the adequate application of Polyester resins

during processing

United Technologies, Georgia Disk Forging 2005 - 2006 Maintenance Mechanic

Performed required breakdown repairs on disk forging heat treat ovens. Calibrate Sonic

Inspection machinery to Quality specification

Performed repairs on the Fire Brick Ovens in the hot oil/ heat treat process department

Performed requested repair work orders for daily repairs. I performed preventative

maintenance as required thru preventative maintenance schedule

Performed maintenance repairs on the cooling water coils for high heat/pressure presses

Glidden Coatings & Resins, Columbus, GA 1979 - 2005 Production Supervisor

Supervise, motivate, train, and perform ongoing, as well as bi-yearly, individual

employee performance evaluations (P.I.P.) for a workforce of 25 – 30 production and

maintenance employees

Worked within Quality Control laboratory to ensure Coatings and Resins products were

within proper specifications. Used Statistical Process Control methods to evaluate and

adjust Alkyd / Polyester resin batches (in process) to insure specifications

Instituted warehousing modifications, which reduced costs and increased overall

efficiency of loading and unloading of raw materials, finished products and hazardous

materials

Have broad experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment such as high

temperature and high-pressure presses, pumps, steam boilers, hot oil boilers, waste water

systems, conveyor systems and pneumatic equipment

Performed many types of analytical tests (Laboratory) against standardized results

including Gas Chromatography, acid values, viscosities, and non-volatile (NV) during the

processing of Alkyd, Solution Acrylic, Latex, and Polyester resins and coatings
