Graphic Design

books, presentations, and brochures. Design of interactive study module for

CDs. Scanning and retouching photos in Photoshop. Uses a variety of

software programs and works on a Mac or PC.

Program Management

Manages ISBN and copyright issues, organizes seminar and trade show

details, orders materials and printing services, manages contracts with

writers, obtains design, editing and writing services for all products.

Markets the program to universities, school districts, and teacher groups

by mail, e-mail, and Internet. Designs marketing materials and plans yearly

marketing schedule. Keeps order database current using FileMaker Pro.

Express Design - 1/99-8/06

Express Design was a freelance graphic and concept design business.

Various design projects included pages for the full color monthly

retailer's magazine, product catalog, advertising, POP displays, logos,

overhead presentations, product labeling, package design. Adherence to

government specifications on supplement labeling was an important part of

this position.

Supported the Projects Division Vice President and Production Manager.

Designed overhead presentations and internal communications materials.

Designed consulting proposals for our Fortune 500 clients. Coordinated "The

Projects Toolbox" project, which gathered department information and

procedures into an online resource. The project required my team to

interview all department employees, gather and customize files, and design

a storage system for the procedures, templates, etc.

Utah Homebuilders Association, SLC, UT - 11/93 - 3/96

Art Director/Graphic Designer, Publications

Designed monthly association magazine, advertising, directories, brochures,

and special magazines throughout the year for area Parade of Homes. Worked

closely with printers and did press checks.

Apple Computer, Cupertino, CA - 10/89-8/92

Communications Coordinator and Newsletter Editor, Employee Communications

Supported the Director of Employee Communications and several writers,

editors, and video producers. Served as editor and writer for a national

employee newsletter. Design of several internal communications pieces

including advertising, video stills, video jackets, and newsletters.

Designed overhead presentations for Apple's top management for employee

meetings. Led team to create an employee safety program, which was adapted

for the entire campus. Assisted in the planning of world-wide employee

meetings.
