TV Production and Marketing Instructor: Duties included Teaching marketing
and Internet TV Production to students 8th to 12th grade. Developed,
coordinated and taught the Internet TV classes, as well as assisted in the
review and evaluation of the Internet TV and Marketing curriculum in the
Palm Beach county school. I was also responsible for classroom training
and maintaining records, for the vocational courses in the field of TV &
Internet TV Production and Marketing. Other duties included teaching
students how to developed ideas and transform their ideas via story board
and design. Students are taught how to execute production of television
news and information programs with an innovative and creative approach.
Students learn the use of various compressions formats, MPEG, via live
streaming and/or recorded newscasts, talk shows breaking news specials, and
remote programs.
Other duties consisted of, teaching students how to function as technical
broadcasters, writers, editors, reporters, and on-air talent. Students
also learned How to use the control room within the Internet TV studio:
Students were taught how to perform duties as show directors, technical
directors, audio directors, floor directors, graphics operators, playback
operators, video editors, copy editors, and/or graphic artists in order to
produce timely, high quality programming.
Additional duties consisted of teaching student basic camera technique and
principles of lighting for television production and how to operate HD
cameras in a studio setting as well as in the field. Students learn how to
use the blue and green screen.
Students were taught non-linear editing utilizing the industry standard
Final Cut Pro, and output formats such as TV commercials, Live streaming
video, video on demand, and DVD Wire cast, Students also learned how to
write continuity or script and produce background music produced in a
professional program such as sound tract. Students are the taught to
records talents involving voice-over for use in productions. Students are
also taught how to read TV rate cards and how to negotiate advertising
rates and spot as well as purchasing time for the Long form, i.e. thirty
minute programming and demographic study.
