In response to your posting, I am applying for the Human Resources Manager

position. I have extensive experience and knowledge as a human resources

professional. I have received my SPHR certification in addition to a

Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Arts degree in organizational

management.

I am currently employed with Trelleborg Coated Systems, US Inc. as the

Human Resources Manager. I am responsible for providing overall HR support

services for three facilities, concentrating in employee relations,

recruiting and talent management for 450 employees. I am also responsible

for developing, implementing, and coordinating human resources functions

involving Affirmative Action, employee health and welfare benefit programs,

performance reviews, safety, training, and policies, procedures, and

programs of the operating facility. I have also reduced liability through

effective handling of worker's compensation claims, developed a 4th shift

schedule to ensure 24/7 production, and reduced turnover from 24% to 8.9%

in one year.

In recent years, I was the Human Resources Manager for The Home Depot where

I was in charge of all human resources functions for three locations. I

was responsible for recruiting and talent management, disciplinary action,

developing and implementing associate rewards/recognition programs. I was

also responsible for scheduling, meeting goals of affirmative action plan,

forecasting hours based on forecasted sales and performance development. I

also consistently exceeded a goal of 90% completion of monthly training,

reduced turnover from 80% to 20% through effective associate relations,

increased 401(k) participation rate from 32% to 84% through group

presentations and follow ups, and mentored three HR Managers in the

District.
