developed and piloted grant program Transitional Care Center (TCC), the
Mental Health Emergency Room Extension (MHERE), the Acute Inpatient
Behavioral Health Unit and the largest Outpatient Behavioral Medicine
Center in Jefferson Parish. Supervised Physicians, Residents, Business
Office, and all mental health services related FTEs. Oversaw new business
development and Emergency Room flow-through with a focus on community
needs, grant development, and contracting.
Accomplishments:
. Innovator of the Year (2007) for the development of the Jefferson
Community Diversion Program's Transitional Care Center.
. Alleviated pressure placed upon local inpatient and emergency room
facilities by quickly
expanding product line and educating sister hospitals to the services
available. Offered an increasingly effective new diversionary component
to the local health care environment and an intermediate level solution
for those clients in need.
. Provided care without interruption in the horrific hurricane season of
2005.
. Introduced processes for monitoring and controlling expenses and revenues
as they relate to patient care with positive documented outcomes in the
clinics and outpatient settings.
. Responsible for interaction with outside regulatory agencies concerning
compliance, licensing, and regulatory issues while remaining deficiency-
free with Joint Commission, DHH, and all other regulatory authorities.
