Objective

I recently graduated from SFA with Masters in Social Work. I was last employed as

Social Worker for the State of Texas at Lufkin State Supported Living Facility. The

population age ranges from pre-adolescents to geriatrics that are mentally challenged

and/or disabled . I am licensed as a GSW in Louisiana . I desire a full time position in an

environment which will allow me to utilize my previous work experience and my

knowledge, skills, and training received from my Masters in Social Work and Bachelor

of Science in Psychology. I desire and enjoy working with individuals, groups or the

community to help empower and advocate for individuals.

Abilities

My past experience has prepared me with skills and knowledge that I believe would be

valuable to your organization. Being a social worker in the various environments has

allowed me to work with a variety of age groups in locating and referring them to

resources in the community. To work as part of an interdisciplinary team to insure the

care and betterment of the individuals. I was also responsible for various in-depth

assessments, working with local, state and federal agencies to improve the quality of life

for the residents. As a case manager I routinely aided residents with medical and

governmental forms. Processed monthly quarterly, semi-annual and annual updates

regarding clients care.

individuals when requested. When a death occurred, facilitate the proper procedures to

insure that all matters are taken care of that spare the family as much as possible.

Arrange for pre-need contracts when necessary for individuals with no coverage. Assist

clients in the participation of Special Olympics. Act as a coach in training of my case

load of individuals that are participating. Transport of clients, when needed, to medical

appointments, shopping, trips, or furloughs to family for a visit.
