I am currently a sophomore here at The University of Texas. A

few things I am or have been involved in are:

. Longhorn Marching Band(Alto Saxophone)-playing at all home

games, Hex Rally, Torchlight parade/rally, TX/OU weekend,

Orange and white scrimmage, Zavala Reading day, 2009

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.

. Basketball/volleyball Band

. Concert Band(Alto/Tenor Saxophone)

. FLO (Freshman Leadership Organization)-Reading day, went to

different Elementary schools in Austin every week to read

to different grade levels. Renovated the Boys and Girls

Club building, bought new equipment, toys, etc.

. TESC Rallies and Special Events-put together the HEX Rally,

Torchlight parade/Rally, Oozeball Tournament, etc.

. Dance Marathon Moral Team-Fundraiser for Dell's Children

Center. Raise money through Pancake night at Tejas,

concerts, etc. leading up to a 12 hour long commitment to

stand up for the kids.

. Tau Kappa Epsilon-I live at the TKE house so I have helped

with rush events. volunteer work-Trash pick up at

McKinney Falls State park, Austin Pets Alive, Relay For

Life, Kappa Delta Shamrock, Alpha Delta Pi Kickball, Alpha

Phi Hits for Hearts, St. Jude's Up 'Til Dawn(collegiate

fundraising program).

. Student Government-campaign for Liam O'Rourke and Shara Kim

Ma

. CGI U-hosted at The University of Texas 2009 (a group in

FLO tied in our Boys and Girls project into our time at CGI

U).

. Party on the Plaza Marketing Committee 2010(put up the

FB/twitter accounts, promoted with RAs on campus, tabling

at orientation/promotional items/give-aways)

. Subiendo-The Academy for Rising Leaders

Counselor(leadership camp for up-coming HS seniors,

speakers, helped students come up with an actual Policy

which were presented to legislative at the capitol.

Governor Rick Perry spoke to the students at a luncheon at

the end of the camp)

. Camp Texas Counselor-2nd year counselor, summer camp for

incoming freshman to excite and pump them up about UT. We

answer any questions or concerns they have, as well as

being there for support in their first semester at college.

School

Farmersville, TX General GPA: 4.0

I graduated in the top-ten percentile of my class from

Farmersville High back in 2008. I was part of the Honor

graduates. Some of the things I was involved in my high school

career were:

. NHS

. Band/Jazz Band-President, Senior Rep, Junior Rep, Band

Boosters Club to raise money for our annual trip to out-of-

state contests. All-region Symphonic Band 06-08, Area Band

07-08, State Solo and Ensemble 07-08.

. FCCLA-Vice-President, 2nd at regional's in Star Events. Put

together a program/presentation on Traffic safety. 4th at

State Meet.

. F.E.S.T.(Farmersville Engineering Science and Technology)-

Vice-President, 4th in State BEST Robotics Meet 06-07, 11th

in State BEST Robotics Meet 07-08. Volunteer work-annual

chili contest/clothes drive. People donate clothes for the

community.

. Adult/Youth Bowling League-Bowled with my dad every Sunday

afternoon. League Champions spring 2008.

. Camp RYLA-Leadership camp where two students from each

school in a certain district are selected through interview

to attend a week long workshop. Guest speakers, activities,

leadership and skill building.

Through my time in Farmersville I excelled at the things I did

and received some recognition or some sort of award for my hard

work. Some of these are:

other things through my youth group at First United Methodist Church of

Farmersville.

with a lunch where we were the servers.

. Ozark Mission Project-helped people in the Ozark region of

Arkansas with their needs, building porches, ramps, etc.

I am sort of in the middle of being a server and working in the

kitchen along with the Chefs. Some of my responsibilities

include:

.Prepping food, recognizing what different dishes are,

running out meals to tables .Assisting the Chefs

.Chores, stocking, closing, etc.

KEYWORD SUMMARY:

I am a hard worker. I listen well and can follow instructions

to the dot. I learn quickly and can do anything well when I

set my mind to it. I do not waste people's time because I

know how valuable it is.
