Qualifications:

Clinical Skills

• Knowledge of Medical Ethics and Medical Terminology

• Knowledge of medications and what they are for

• Vital signs, patient positioning, height and weight

• CPR certified, AED knowledgeable, LVN license, able to do IV’s

• Take care of patients that are dehydrated, start IVs, monitor

patients closely every 15 minutes in a clinical setting per protocol

physician order

• Assisting physician with minor procedures such as suturing,

• Wound Care: I &D, cleaning wound, packing with idoform gauze,

bandaging wound, instruct patients on how to take care of wound,

educate patient of any signs and symptoms of infection

• Take care of patients with venous stasis ulcers, cellulitis, edema,

t reat patient per physician order

• Suture removal

• Assisting with female gynecological exams

• FBS finger stick, Insulin teaching

• Trained on Dr Comfort shoe fitting for diabetics

• Trained on Retasure

• PT/INR finger sticks, coumadin results level knowledgeable, inform

patient immediately if abnormal

Laboratory Skills

• Administering medications such as intradermal, subcutaneous, and

gluteal injections, catheterization, collection of urinalysis for

cultures, obtaining wound and throat cultures, blood collection

i ncluding butterflies and venipuncture, sterilization of instruments.

K nowledge of OSHA regulations.

Administrator/Nu rsing Skills

• Receptionist such as checking patients in, scheduling or canceling

appointments, balancing deposits at the end of the day, Unit Clerk

( referrals), PBX, ordering medical supplies, Labcorp system

k nowledgeable, EMR, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft word, type 40 words

per minute.

• Worked as an LVN Nurse Coordinator for two years to include

overseeing nursing staff, rearrange nursing staff to cover where

help is needed, I myself would cover where help is needed when

short staffed, order medical supplies to include DME, keep weekly

LVN t r iage logs, help LVNs t riage incoming calls, t riage walk ins,

keep weekly logs on all fire extinguishers in the office, clean

autoclave monthly and document, clean out sample closet monthly,

t hrow out all expired samples in Biohazard box, order oxygen

monthly, schedule yearly inspections for all exam tables, lamps,

E KGs, Autoclave, exam table in procedure room, do Nurse Visits,

help cover in Medical Records, file paper work in patients file,

verify insurance, cover in the lab, draw lab, send specimens out to

l abcorp, call for STAT pick up. Work closely with all Medical

Physicians, attend weekly PCC meetings, follow through with any

orders from Physician, able to train new employees. Help

Administrator with her job duties.
